About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom of 2 kids. A 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. I really enjoy cooking. We are living in Hershey PA while my husband finishes up school. I love recipes that are classics and also a good challenge.
My favorite things to cook
I really love to cook almost anything. I am not quite as good at baking. I am trying to get better! The only thing I am good at baking is bread. Fresh bread cooking in the house is my favorite! And a good ethnic dish, like Indian tikka masala.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Italian and so we generally overuse garlic! I love almost all food, but I really love seafood Christmas dinner that I grew up with.
My cooking triumphs
Any meal that turns out good is a triumph! I have yet to triumph a great sourdough bread.
My cooking tragedies
Mushy rice or a flat loaf of bread...both have happened more than once.

Made exactly as written! Use REAL Maple Syrup!!! So Amazing! Cook time depends on size of salmon filets.

Kat's Cauliflower Leek Soup
I loved it! I omitted the potato all together and didn't puree all of it. It was fantastic! Thank you. Also I didn't have allspice, so I sprinkled a bit of cinnamon and clove.

Fruit Pizza II
I used the crust from Fruit Pizza I and everything else from here! LOVE IT! Made it in a 9x13 pan and used a small can of mandarin oranges to decorate with and the JUICE from the can of oranges in the glaze! YUMMY, Thank you!
