If someone would have told me that I would have a passion for cooking when I was 18 I would have told them they were crazy.  Actually thats exactly what I told my own Mother when she insist I learn the first thing about cooking- you know - it will be helpful later and all of that stuff.  Well here I am (gasp) a stay at home mother of 2, and I just LOVE to cook!  It was a bit of an evolution, I couldn't really tell you how I got here.  Ten years come and go, kids show up  and BAM- I really enjoy the art of cooking.  So I thought I would write about what I have going on in my world of cooking.   Not too exciting for you, but I am pretty excited.

This is wonderful statement, where there is food a family will gather. Nurturing your families bodies as well as minds and then sharing your thoughts with other. It is wonderful statement of what is right in our world when we take the time to love and feed our families. Enjoy!!!

Love it! I feel the same way. I'm 25 and always thought "oh, making food from scratch is too much work." But now I love it.

I didn't realize how rewarding cooking would be until I made my first dinner for my (now ex) husband and I - canned soup and biscuits from a box. We had lived together for over a year before I finally got in the kitchen, and I have never left. I just found a husband who appreciated it more! Never thought I would have kids, either, and here I am with #3 a few short weeks away. Its amazing how maternal instincts make you want to keep house more, to the point where you actually enjoy it! Have fun with it! Great blog!

About Me
I am a stay at home mom of 2 kids. A 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. I really enjoy cooking. We are living in Hershey PA while my husband finishes up school. I love recipes that are classics and also a good challenge.
My favorite things to cook
I really love to cook almost anything. I am not quite as good at baking. I am trying to get better! The only thing I am good at baking is bread. Fresh bread cooking in the house is my favorite! And a good ethnic dish, like Indian tikka masala.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Italian and so we generally overuse garlic! I love almost all food, but I really love seafood Christmas dinner that I grew up with.
My cooking triumphs
Any meal that turns out good is a triumph! I have yet to triumph a great sourdough bread.
My cooking tragedies
Mushy rice or a flat loaf of bread...both have happened more than once.
