Rich Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
Very easy and delicious recipe! I've tried other more complicated recipes in the past but needed something quick for last minute ice cream sundaes. This went over very well with my guests and I will certainly be making it again. I did find with the recommended amount of semisweet chocolate it was a little too sweet and not quite chocolatey enough so I added some unsweetened cocoa powder to balance it out. I also found out with leftover fudge sauce it is great in coffee for a mocha treat.

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
This bread is amazing! I took the advice of other reviewers and added a teaspoon of cinnamon to the dough and doubled the filling. I can't wait to try making it again with the raisins, unfortunately I was out.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
I just made these and they are delicious! I did as other reviewers have suggested and chilled the peanut butter base first. I also only waited about 20 minutes to cut them so the chocolate didn't harden too much and crack.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
I never knew applesauce could be so simple! I halved the sugar and added a dash of nutmeg and left it a little chunky when mashing it.

Vegan Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
a good vegan brownie recipe is hard to find but I think my search has ended! I halved the recipe and baked it in a 9x9 pan. I subbed 1/2 cup apple sauce and 2 Tbsp oil for the 1/2 cup oil as other reviewers suggested. I also tossed in a half cup or so of chocolate chips.

As other reviewers I upped the salt to 1 teaspoon. Otherwise great recipe!

An amazing and simple soup. Only changes I made was I added some diced onion and pepper and subbed vegetable broth to make it vegetarian. I will definitely be making this again!!

Chocolate 'N' Oat Bars

I will definitely make these again, they're amazing so quick and easy to make as well. I added some coconut to mine before sprinkling the oat mixture on top.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
I couldn't believe how easy this recipe was! I used half smooth, half chunky peanut butter because that's what I had on hand and it turned out great. I thought at the end it could use some chocolate, so I added a handful of chocolate chips. I will definitely be making this again!

Sour Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
These biscuits are light and fluffy and just amazing - they went great with the lentil soup tonight. The only changes I made was I found the dough needed a little extra water and I also added a handful of grated sharp cheddar and some garlic powder. I brushed the biscuits with melted butter and garlic powder with some oregano a few minutes before they were done with added some nice flavor and nice golden tops.

Glazed Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
I love this recipe, the cake bakes up beautifully with a great light texture. The only thing I changed was using powdered sugar for the glaze. But like other reviewers have said the cake has a light lemon flavor, so I might try adding extra lemon extract next time.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
hands down THE best cornbread I've ever had. It had just the right balance of sweetness but was tender and didn't fall apart. The only thing I changed was adding a drizzle of honey to the batter at the end. My search for perfect cornbread has ended!

Zulandt's Lentil Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
Warm hearty comfort food, nothing beats that. My only alterations were to add some carrots and celery and upped the zucchini. The only thing I will do next time is make a smaller batch, it really makes a lot!

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I made this cinnamon bread a few hours ago and my family is inhaling it. What a great recipe!! The only changes I made was double the streusel topping and swirled half into the bread, and half on top I also tossed in a handful of walnuts. Some reviewers mentioned it overflowing or needing multiple pans, so I baked it in a bundt pan and it came out great. I'm already being asked to bake another!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
What a fantastic recipe, just the right balance of chewy and crisp. I drizzled some of the cookies with milk chocolate and they were delightful. Next time I might try adding some chopped macadamia nuts and perhaps white chocolate. Even with just the plain coconut cookies they are to die for.

Fabulous Zucchini Grinders

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
These are truely great sandwiches. Some other reviewers mentioned putting half the cheese on the bread and I found that really helps the bread to not go soggy. It's also yummy with some onions, peppers or mushrooms thrown in with the zucchini but delightful on its own.

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
What a great idea! I usually make my popcorn stovetop because I can't stand store bought microwave popcorn. But its nice to have an option with a smaller batch and less clean up. My only complaint was there seemed to be a lot of unpopped popcorn, I'll try microwaving it a little longer next time.
