Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This was awesome! It was very well liked in our home. I didn't measure out the pumpkin puree I just added the whole can. I also doubled the measurements of the spices. It was moist and very delicious.

Mary Anne's Moist and Nutty Carrot Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
This loaf was very moist and I liked the pineapple in it. I left the nuts out due to personal preference. It was very good.

Parmesan Herb Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
This was great. I used bread flour instead of all purpose and shaped it on a cookie sheet. It raised extremely high. The herb flavour was light and I think next time I may add a bit more or try a different combination of flavours. This recipe will definitely be used over and over again at our home.

Herbed Batter Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
These are awesome! My whole family gobbles them down. I however omit the sage, terragon and nutmeg and add different spices such as sun dried tomato & herb, dill, onion etc based on what I am serving them with. The basic recipe is perfect for any type of bun or bread. The only other thing I change is to use bread flour instead of all purpose flour. I have also used it to make a loaf for garlic bread. This one is definitely staying in my recipe box!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This was my first time making these type of cookies. I made them for my sons' class Christmas party. I was very happy with them. It was easy to make and the cookies turned out great! I refrigerated the dough overnight and then took out in the morning and let soften on the counter for most of the day. They rolled out easy and were simple to cut.

Raisin Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Very simple to make and tastes good also. I used regular Thompsons raisins instead of the golden ones. I cut the dough and made mini sized loafs.

These are so good! Easy to make and taste great. I do refrigerate prior to cutting them as they seem to cut better that way. Definitely a keeper!

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This went over very well. I omitted the nuts as they are not liked here. I also covered the blueberries in a light dusting of flour before folding into batter to prevent them from falling to the bottom. I also added a lemon glaze (lemon juice & white sugar) over the top. Overall very good!

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
This was an awesome recipe. I used chicken broth instead of water as others had previously mentioned. I also added red & yellow sweet peppers and 1/4 of a jalapeno pepper. Instead of regular chili powder I used the chipotle chili powder from Epicure selections. Ithad a nice kick to it when cooked. My husband is not a rice eater but he had 2 helpings of this.

Candy Cane Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
It was expensive to make and extremely sweet. Nice presentation and good idea however if you don't like overly sweet food items don't make this! I made it for a family Christmas and no one finished a piece. I ended up throwing most of it away.

Cherry Almond Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
It was okay. A bit dry even though I followed other users suggested and added some water. Needs to be tinkered with but could be an awesome recipe.
