About this Cook
I am a 23 year old female working at a zoo. I love to cook/bake in my spare time. Cooking is fun and relaxing for me. Wish I had the money and time to do more! :)
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking desserts, especially for other people. I have been told I can make very good chocolate chip cookies. I like making other delicious, simple dinners small enough for 1 or 2 people.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love spending time with my mother and grandmother cooking and baking for Christmas. These two women have taught me everything I know about cooking and baking.
My cooking triumphs
I am very good with making desserts and simple meal items.
My cooking tragedies
Candy is too tricky for this amateur chef.

Chewy Maple Cookies
I just made these with only a few changes. I substituted butter for the shortening (personal preference) and omitted the coconut. Half the batch I made with bacon bits, half without. Both are amazing!!! Used an ice cream scoop and got giant yummy chewy cookies! Might add more maple next time, but were wonderful as is. Thanks for the recipe! Will definitely make again!!

Cake Mix Cookies IV
In case nobody has ever tried it, you can use a brownie batter instead of the cake mix as long as it is a similar sized package. For half of the batter, i rolled the balls in powdered sugar, and the other half added dark chocolate chips. sooo good!!
