Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
Wow, I make these all the time and cannot believe I haven't rated it yet. This is an awesome recipe for perfect cinnamon rolls. When I make these, it never fails my 5 year old daughter will hug me and say "you are the best cooker in the world". I have used all purpose flour in place of bread flour on occasion when I am out, and they turn out just as wonderful. Thank you for such a delicious recipe!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
My husband can't eat nuts, so I had to skip the toppping, bummer too, as I am a nut lover. Followed the rest of the recipe only using marshmallows for the topping and it was delicious. Thank you!

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

I started to try a pumpkin roll last Thanksgiving and chickened out. Got my nerve up this year and was so surprised how easy it was! Not to mention how tasty. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Not that this needs any more rave reviews, but I was always one to throw my 2 cents in :P This was fantastic. I used 1 1/2 cups of unpopped popcorn. Popped it on the stove in 1/2 cup oil, then picked out the unpopped kernels. Made the caramel as recipe says and used 2 jelly roll pans to bake. Baked at 225 for about 45 minutes stirring every 10-15 minutes and it was perfect! Thanks for a fantastic recipe!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Why bother reviewing a recipe if you change it to a totally different recipe? Pointless to give a bad review on a recipe you screwed up yourself by not following the directions. o.O My family really enjoyed this recipe and I have made it several times since I found it. Goes great with homemade mashed potatoes and buttery rolls!

Never Fail Applesauce Spice Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This cake was wonderful. It had the texture of a banana bread maybe, but its flavor was great. I did leave out the nuts because my husband cannot eat them, but I think it would have been even better with them. I made it yesterday, and put it in the fridge to cool it quickly so I could frost it before I went to bed. The surface was cooled but the middle was still warm. It was great warm, and then today it was even better. I think next time I may even up the spices a bit.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
I am stuffing my face with this as I type and must say it is absolutely delicious. My poor husband cannot stand chinese food, but I always drag him to the chinese restaurant. Now I won't have to! Even my VERY picky 4 year old went back for seconds! Only thing I did different was add baking powder and salt to all purpose flour, as I just don't buy self rising. I didn't use as much oil for frying the chicken, and I mixed the pineapple chunks and, bell peppers in with the sauce after it thickened. Also I sauted the bell pepper as I hate crunchy veggies. Maybe next time I will use more food coloring, as it wasn't quite orange enough IMO. With that said, this recipe is saved, and I will continue to make it many times. Thank you kindly for such a delicious recipe. :)

Chicken and Dumplings IV

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
I have been making chicken and dumplings for years, and until my husband ate mine he swore he hated chicken and dumplings, but now loves them. Today I decided I wanted to try it someone elses way. While I think they are great, I know my hubby will not eat them. The dumplings are way too doughy. I always make a regular biscuit dough, roll out pretty thin (maybe 1/4 inch thick), and cut my dumplings into squares. That way does not leave you with a raw dough taste. Also I use canned broth with poultry seasoning, white pepper, and onion powder. I always cook my chicken, then take it out, do the dumplings THEN add the chicken back to the pot. While I think this is a good recipe, I don't like the baking mix part of it.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
This recipe was out of this world. The only thing I did different was not use the water as it seemed to have plenty of liquid without it, and I cubed the chicken before cooking it instead of after. Made with Mexican Rice II from this site, and some refried beans. Yum! *UPDATE* I just had to come back and comment on this recipe one more time. I now make this at least once every 2 weeks. My family demands it. It is THAT good! I have a picky stepson (grown man) who hates sour cream and gets mad if anyone gets it near him. I tricked him one day while he was visiting and had him try a bite, not telling him it had sour cream in it. After he tried the bite, I told him it did have sour cream in it and he still ate 2 enchiladas. That is truely saying something as he despises sour cream. Long story, but yea, this recipe is amazing. Also, I have now started using mild salsa to top it with instead of the taco sauce.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
This recipe made delicious pancakes. I did have to add about 1 cup more flour as my batter was too thin and would have made very thin pancakes, and I like mine thick and fluffy. I had a ton of leftover batter even for a family of 2 adults and 4 kids and I'm not sure how long batter can stay in the fridge, so next time I'll half the recipe. Thanks for the great recipe!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
As others have suggested I cut the butter back to 6 TBS and the sugar to 1/3 cup. I also used jalepenos simply because its what I had, and used a colby/montery jack shredded cheese and only 2 tsp of baking powder. This way was fantastic, but as written I think it would have been way too sweet and way too greasy.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
Loved this recipe! Gave the chicken an awesome flavor, so tender! My husband doesn't care for chicken, and normally only takes a bite or 2, but he ate the whole piece this time! I did however use chicken breasts, and it was still fantastic. Be sure to line your pan with foil or you will be throwing it out ;) Thanks for the recipe!

Homemade Butter

Fantastic! I used my Magic Bullet, and it took 5-6 minutes. I then used a spatula to get all the liquid out. It is SOOOO much better than store bought. No more Country Crock for me!
