About this Cook
I'm an officer in the Air Force and I love to cook. I have been visiting thi site for a while and just recently decided to become a member of the site in order to use the recipe exchange. I hope soon to start putting up some of my recipes so that people can try them out and I can see what others think of my recipes. Well, most of them are recipes I stole from my mom, and who knows where moms get their recipes, right?
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything. I am always interested in trying something new. I keep the recipes i like and throw away the ones I don't like, it's been about 6 months since I have gone back to the recipes I have otherwise recently made, except for special occassions.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up on casseroles, and I must say as a single guy I understand, it is so easy to make something on the weekend and live off leftovers all week, not to mention it's very cheap also.
My cooking triumphs
I have made chocolate chip cookies, turtle cake, and dumplings that have gone off like a craze here in my office. Next week I am entering a chili into a chili cook off although it's a little warm for chili now, but we will see. Now everyone in the building knows when they hear my name that I make some awesome dumplings. (made them for a pot luck thanksgiving dinner)
My cooking tragedies
Umm, one time I was making hard boiled eggs, and i forgot about them, I burnt the entire egg and it smelled terrible!! I can make some complicated things very well, but somehow I mess up on the simple stuff. I'm such a freak.

Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken
This was excellent. I modified it a little bit since I don't have a food processor and didn't want to get my blender dirty. I just put the lemon juice, garlic powder, and rosemary in the ziploc bag that I had the chicken it (thawing out). I skipped the butter, used garlic power instead of minced garlic, I also skipped out on the lemon zest. I had planned on making it outside but it turned on rainy and cold I cooked it on the george foreman grill, it was great and I plan on making it again this week sometime. Unfortunately not tonight since I won't have time to let it soak in the juice.

Parmesan Puffs
I made this experimentally one time. My fiancee loves them now and anytime I mess up I can just make a batch (or 2.. or 5) and it gets me out of the dog house in no time.
