We really enjoyed this but I doctored it up quite a bit. I doubled the garlic, halved the cinnamon, added a few extra shakes of all the other spices, cut the broth down to 3 cups, added a half cup of salsa, some shredded carrots and mushrooms, and used 1.25 lbs turkey with a half pound of italian sausage. I let it simmer, covered, for a long time - about 2 hours. Just put a handful of cheese in the chili, and used the rest as garnish. Like I said, we loved it the way we had it but when I first tasted it, before I added all the other stuff, it was pretty bland. Maybe it just needed to simmer, but in any event I will make this again with the changes listed.
