Brussels Sprouts in a Sherry Bacon Cream Sauce

Fantastic recipe. Like others, I doubled the sauce, but could have used even more. It was wonderful served over basmati rice. To thicken it up a little faster, I added a touch of grated parmesan cheese.

Spicy Peach Coleslaw

What a pleasant change from usual slaw. Be careful not to make it too spicy, as I did the first time I made it. That will teach me to embellish on a great recipe.

Tomato Basil Soup

Very good, although next time I'll cut back on the carrots. I used 15 baby carrots from my garden and they added too much sweetness, but that's how my carrots grew. Maybe with regular carrots it wouldn't have turned out that sweet. Great anyway.

Braised Black Lentils

Chef John, you've nailed it again, and talked me into buying black lentils online, since our local Co-op didn't carry them. This was fantastic. I used balsamic vinegar because I didn't have champagne vinegar. (I have never even seen that.) It was fantastic. I also added minced garlic. I couldn't help it. Home run!!!

Fresh Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Lasagna

This was very good. I couldn't help myself, though. I had to add some mozzarella, but I don't think that changed the flavor much - just added some more cheese, and that's my favorite thing about lasagna. I also made the white sauce a bit too thick because I was concerned about it being runny. It ended up being too thick to pour onto the lasagna, and I kind of had to spread it. I'll have to watch that next time.

Flash-blasted Broccoli and Feta Pasta

This recipe blew my mind. I subbed rice for the pasta, and it was fantastic!!!! As some others have said, the flash-roasted broccoli was so good, I may make it that way every time. I ate quite a bit of it while cooking the rest. Perfect!!!! I highly recommend this dish.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

This is fantastic soup. I was initially concerned because it made such a big pot of soup for two people, but between the two of us, we consumed 5 bowls of it for dinner last night. We just couldn't stop eating it. It's that good. I followed the recipe to the T and it doesn't need any changes, in my opinion.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

They did not taste much different than the ones I usually make, but it's the convenience of being able to make them ahead of time, taking one chore off my busy Thanksgiving cooking schedule that caused me to rate it 5 stars.
