Banana Berry Smoothie III

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Very refreshing!! I don't think it needs any added sugar, just use a ripe banana!

Lemon Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
This was AWESOME! Naturally I made a few changes based on what I had on hand...I used low fat milk instead of cream...I made a roux to thicken (melted the butter, then added 4T flour, cooked few minutes, then added milk, etc) I used chicken broth instead of beef. This was so easy and quick to make, so I recommend starting your noodles first, I forgot and the sauce was cold by the time the noodles were done. I thought the lemon taste was great, very light, would be good with more lemon juice too! This would go great with seafood and chicken! Thanks for the recipe! This is the best sauce from scratch I've ever made! Can't wait to make it again!

Lentil Rice and Veggie Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
Really Yummy! I'm always looking for recipes, besides soup, with lentils because they are so healthy! I didn't realize I was out of onions, so I just left that out, it probably would have been better with, but it was still great! I used marinara sauce for the tomato sauce, and added just a little part skim shredded mozzarella cheese before baking! YUM!!!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
I love how simple this recipe is and how much peanut butter flavor the cookies have. My only complaint is a cup of sugar is too sweet, so I use about 3/4 (half brown, half white). Sometimes I add a little vanilla extract, but they are still great without it.

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Not my favorite muffin recipe. The texture wasn't my favorite, almost chewy. Also I thought it needed more lemon flavor. Boyfriend didn't even know they were lemon until I told him.

Santa Fe Rice Salad

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
This was just okay. I was actually a bit disappointed because it sounded so good. Just seemed like it was missing something... and I added cilantro and lime juice. I probably won't make it again.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I was not sure what to expect with these, this being my first attempt at Turkey Burgers. They didn't remind me of a beef burger at all. HOWEVER, they were excellent! This will become a new regular dinner as I can imagine it will taste great with a variety of sides. I rated four stars instead of five because I made a few changes based on reading other reviews. I added the whole egg, added in some chopped green pepper (because I wanted to use it up, and it gave the burgers a little crunch), I made my own bread crumbs because I don't like the store bought ones (put a cubed up slice of bread in the oven then put it in the blender with spices) and I coated the pattys with flour before cooking. Very Delicious!!

Use puffed rice instead of pepitas if you can't find them. Really tasty, best recipe I've found for granola bars yet. I can't wait to play around with this.

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
Made it for new years eve and it went over great! Definitely eat it warm, not quite as delicious once it cooled. Very easy to make ahead of time, the put in the oven when ready for it. Also very good in a bread bowl or with triscuits. I added a little bit of cream cheese just because I had some to use up. Works well as leftovers too, just pop back in the oven. I'm enjoying this for dinner tonight!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Very easy to roll out. Not too sweet, which is how I like them since the frosting in so sweet. I rolled out with sugar instead of flour. Be carful not to over bake them as they will get too crispy and hard.
