About this Cook
I know that I'm young, but I grew up baking with my grandma, and helping my dad with dinner. So, I've been able to cook since I could stand on a step-stool to help.
My favorite things to cook
I prefer baking. It always seems more satisfying to me. But, I do like to learn new things, and try things that others recommend.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes cakes - so I do what I can to help her out. But, I love her Chestnut Stuffing that she only makes for the holidays. She makes that, and I always make peanut butter blossoms.
My cooking triumphs
Cookies seem to be best for me. I remember that in one night my mom and I made about 500 cookies. I was about done with cookies for a long time!
My cooking tragedies
Burning a homemade pizza or my peanut butter blossoms! I've also just had some bad batches. I believe that if you're not happy when you make something, it just won't taste as good.

Creamy Hot Cocoa
Best hot chocolate I've ever had!!! For those who like the simplicity of cocoa in a bag - this is worth the effort.

Evil Turkey
My husband and I had this for our very first Thanksgiving together. It was amazing! So moist, and such a great change from the traditional. We used a chicken since it was just the two of us. Just checked with the thermometer to make sure it was cooked all the way. Still so good.

Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese
Incredibly bland. I know it like a good kick in the mouth, so I try to take that into account. But this was awful.
