Unbelievable! This is the dessert I make when I want to impress, but best after a light meal, or served later in the evening - its rich! For sure, double up the coffee/rum mixture and prepare at LEAST one day in advance. The coffee/rum mixture tastes pretty bad alone until it has had time to permeate the whole! Also, I cut some ladyfingers in half and stand them up on their cut ends all around the outside - looks pretty and adds more surface area for the coffee rum!

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

This is sooo yummy, thanks for posting! My husband and I grate a little fresh nutmeg over the top just before serving. Not only does this enhance the taste but it smells so good too!!

Addictive Mashed Potatoes

These are now a tradition at my home. Its a little more work gathering the ingredients but this side dish might just out-shine whatever you are serving it with! By the way, caramelizing the onions takes time but they are heavenly!

Tangy Tenderloin

Wow, I admit I didn't think this would be that good, but it was recommended to me by a good and trusted friend! It tastes WAY better than you might think! Great combination of ingredients. I added garlic to the sauce.

Banana Cream Cheese Pie

Yummy! I have been making this for a few months now and it is a favourite of my sister's so I make it whenever she visits. This time I decided to use one banana and then puree strawberries to make one cup combined. It was sooooo good!! It doesn't need the topping which makes it even easier still!!

Botercake

This was SOOO yummy. The lemon is very subtle and, reading the other reviews, this, IS a cake. I used the measurements given by Hanneke in her comment, since they were changed by the website. I think she put them in metric. Her original recipe apparently required 250 grams each of butter, sugar and flour. If you calculate, this is 1.1 cups of each. I just used 1 1/8 cup each of butter, sugar and flour and it came out moist and tasty. 2 cups of flour would probably make it pretty dry! Thanks for the recipe Hanneke!

Rasta Pasta

I made this last night and it was a big success with husband. I thought the spaghetti sauce might be a bit too much, so I used a bottle of alla vodka sauce instead, but only 2/3 of it. Instead I added some sour cream and heavy cream just before serving. YUMMY!
