South Carolina She-Crab Soup

I picked up 2 live crabs along with all the rest of the ingredients and was serving this along with Shrimp Creole for a Fat Tuesday celebration. I took the shrimp shells, left over onion after grating it, piece of celery, water and cooked the crabs resulting in a nice seafood broth which I used instead of chicken stock. The crabs turned out to be girls so I took their eggs, mashed them up and added them to the soup for more flavor and saved a pinch to serve on top as a garnish. RAVE reviews from my dinner guests. Will definately make this again!

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Mu husband DOES NOT like turkey burgers and he said these were actually very good. I held back on the spices a bit and will go full throttle next time. I also used canned green chiles instead of fresh which didn't give them enough kick. This recipe has real potential and I will definately make again playing around with the ingredients.

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

I marinated chicken drumsticks in this overnight, then baked them in it the next day. Delicious!! Everyone loved the spicy/sweetness combo.

Fresh California Salsa

This salsa was nothing special. It needed to be zipped up alot. I added another jalepeno, alot of fresh ground pepper and salt, some fresh lemon and lime juice and it still came out just OK.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

This was a bit disappointing. I added lemon pepper at the end, which jazzed it up a bit, but otherwise, they were too oily and there wasn't enough flavor.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

OK, it was good, but not awesome like I expected after reading all these reviews! Needs more flavor! Next time I will substitute wine for the water, add some cloves, bay leaf, thyme and white pepper for some pizzaz. Husband did love the tenderness and I will definately make it again.

Apricot Brisket

This was really tasty. I used 2 8 oz cans apricot juice instead of the dried and it made a really nice gravy. Will try this with a bottom round or more tender cut of beef next time. - Lisa

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

I have made this twice now and its a keeper! We had friends and family over for my sons first birthday and I cooked three marinated flank steaks. The steaks were gobbled up with no left overs! This is by far the best marinade yet.-Lisa
