Grilled Beets in Rosemary Vinegar

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
Made with balsamic reduction instead of balsamic vinegar. These were a hit.

PHILLY Bacon and Tomato Presto Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
Yummy! Used reduced salt bacon, canned tomatoes and fat free herb and garlic cream cheese. Added onions and diced orange bell pepper. Left out the parmesan, as I didn't have any. Very tasty, creamy, bacony and not salty as other reviewers had complained. YUM!

Cucumber-Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
My fiance, who doesn't like cucumber raw, LOVED this recipe. He kept asking what spices were in it. I added less than a tsp of sugar, just enough to take away the bite. I followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Thanks for sharing!!

Indian Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
Made the chicken with thighs and drumsticks. Followed the recipe exactly, but left out the food colouring. Marinated for 24 hours. The chicken wasn't pink (despite what other reviewers have suggested) and it was delicious off the BBQ :)

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
I really enjoyed this soup. It came out creamy and tasty. I added lots of veggies, though - carrots, onions and celery. My fiance told me that he didn't like the creamy soup base with chicken.. but that's just him :)

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
This recipe is the best one that I have found for roast beef in the slow cooker (and the slow cooker is the best way to cook a roast!). I always add chopped onions, celery and carrots to the pot. Sometimes I will also add chopped potatoes- have to be careful though, chances are the roast will be ready before the potatoes.

Thai Chicken Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly as stated. The flavour was okay. The texture was horrible. My boyfriend, who will eat anything, threw out the leftovers.

Belgian Endive au Gratin

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
Thanks for sharing this classic recipe! The cream and cheese in this recipe makes for a nice contrast to the sharp taste of the endives.

Linguine with Fresh Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
I LOVE this recipe! I like to use spaghetti or spaghettini instead of linguine and go a bit light on garlic (it can be a bit overwhelming). I usually don't have fresh basil, but dried basil does the trick. Serve the pasta hot so that the parmesan is nicely melted.

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
I made this for my boyfriend's family over Christmas and it was a big hit! I paired it with Linguine with fresh tomatoes and pan-fried asparagus (recipes from this site) and the flavours matched nicely. I find that any sort of flavoured feta works. I make homemade bread crumbs and flavour them with Italian seasoning mix (oregano, basil, thyme). A great favourite!

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
I love bruschetta and this recipe is great. If you don't have parmesan cheese, cheddar actually works quite nicely. Be careful with the red onion, as it can be quite overpowering and make sure to toast the bread well on both sides, as it can go soggy very quickly!
