Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Wow! What a yummy dish this turned out to be. I didn't have fresh parsley on hand so I used dried and it was just FINE! Also, I didn't have as much broth as I wanted so at the end I added some bottled clam juice - just enough to get it to the amount that I wanted. And if you would like it to have a little bit of kick, add a little bit of dried pepper flakes. My husband (the real cook in the family) loved this dish.

Pecan Pie V

This is a great recipe. Those that say the taste and texture were not good should try it again. I followed the recipe with the following additions - the butter and eggs were room temp, added the butter to the mixed eggs while it was still warm/hot, I added a dash of salt and some cinnamon (maybe 1/2 tsp). 350 for 15 minutes and then 300 for 50 minutes. I made one with splenda and one with the regular sugar both brown and white. I pulled them out of the oven right before we sat down to eat dinner to let them set and cool, cut into one after dinner to check to see if they were ready and they were. They were both EXCELLENT. Yum, yum, yum! My husband, who is not much of a pecan pie fan, loved it and ate 2 slices and said it was the best pecan pie he's ever had. He likes that it's not as sweet and sticky as the kind made with corn syrup and so do I.

Steamed Fish with Ginger

This dish came out perfectly! I followed the recipe but used striped bass as I like a lighter fish. This was a hit at our Chinese New Year party this year. Will definitely do this again!

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Yummy yummy! Followed the recipe for the most part with the following additions/changes. I did 1/2 regular white mushrooms and 1/2 baby bellas. Add the salt to the mushroom mix while it's cooking AFTER the mushrooms have been sauteed a bit so that the salt gets 'into' the mushrooms. I only put half of the mushroom mix into the processer to add a little more texture to the soup.
