About this Cook
I love to eat. I enjoy african, caribbean and middle eastern foods. I believe that you should try anything and everything at least once. And if you don't like then of course dont eat it again. But everything should be given a chance. I despise asparagus, raisins, and I do not eat pork (for religious and health reasons). I try to eat mostly raw foods, but I succumb to traditional, hearty, comfort foods at times. I love old fashioned, fresh, time-consuming dishes. It just means that the meal is made with love. :)
My favorite things to cook
I am an avid baker. I love to bake as I love sweets.
My cooking tragedies
Rice used to be a major cooking tragedy for me. But I have got it down to a science now.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Brownies
I used a 1/2 cup of butter and a 1/2 of shortening. I really liked these. I was out of brown sugar so I subbed with torbinado(sp) sugar. The top of mine were a little crispy but it was my fault for leaving it in the oven for too long.

Chicken Tikka Masala
I give this a four not because it isnt deserving of a five but because I had such high expectations and it didnt quite meet them. Certainly not authentic but it was tasty nonetheless. I would give it a go if youre interested in this recipe.

Baked Ziti with Sausage
I made a lazy version of this ziti. I first mixed the pasta with a little bit of sour cream and plain yogurt since I only had a little bit of sourcream left. I then dumped everything in the pan. Ricotta, pasta sauce, italian blend shredded cheese, salt, black pepper, italian seasoning. I mixed it all up w/o an egg. I cut up italian turkey sausage distributed throughout the pan. Topped with more mozerrella cheese and baked. It was easy simple and deelish
