Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
This is a "husband pleaser". The flavors were a little too strong for me, but he thought it was great. I would make this again if he asks, but I prefer less seasoning and more meat flavor myself.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
I have made much better mashed potatoes, these tasted water logged and too smooth. The cooking time is too long, and there was too much liquid added. My husband said they weren't too bad, he thought they were instant mashed potatoes. That means it's a no for me!

Spinach and Feta Pita Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
This is by far one of the best recipes on the site, and I have tried many many over the past several years. The only change I made was to leave out the mushrooms. My intentions were to add chicken, but I forgot to pick up some and I'm glad I made this as is. It is one of the few meatless recipes where you don't feel like something is missing. So delicious is deserves more than 5 stars!

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
Awful, sorry but true. So dry, I sliced them after cooking to drown each piece in sauce for some flavor. And the sauce isn't great either.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
So good, but a guilty pleasure. I accidentally left out the potato flakes and they were still great. I made A LOT extra and we ate the leftovers cold and also warmed in a salad with ranch dressing. Do yourself a favor and make extra because they are very versitile and taste great.

Zucchini Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
This was very good. I sauted the zucchini instead of boiling and they were too firm. Next time I will follow recipe and boil first.

Yum yum yum, awsome bread. I used half white/wheat flour. I made a second batch with frozen blueberries which I don't reccomend, stick with fresh.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
I might be in the minority here, but we thought this was pretty bad. I was hopeful in the beginning, but the taste really wasn't good and was lacking any real flavor other than sweetness. We threw out the leftovers.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
really delicious. i added some onion, an extra can of broth, and some orzo in the last 15 minutes. i did remove the sausage from the casing because it sounded better that way. even picky husband ate zucchini and other veggies. great recipe

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
i am so glad i found this recipe. i changed it by adding 3 carrots, 3 celery, 1 can chicken broth with herbs, and 1 cup of water. i also cut back to 1 can for the dumplings. that may seem like alot of changes, but i never would have thought to make this dish. it turned out to be one of the best recipes i have done in the 4 years i've used this site.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

these were very tasty with just the right amount of basil. the oil does make them cook really fast though. i like well done and by 6 minutes on the george forman they were a little too dry. i will make again with shorter cooking time
