Simple Golabki

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This was a terrific way to pull together the flavor of stuffed cabbage rolls without the added work. Using fresh gr beef (from our butcher shop), cabbage & tomatoes made it even better.

Strawberry Cheesecake

Rating this recipe with 5 stars while taking the suggestions to only add 2(8 oz.) pkgs of cream cheese & 1 tsp. of vanilla. Made this for my son's 16th birthday!

Colorful Grilled Veggies

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
This recipe is a keeper. We have our own butcher shop and this compliments any meat we might grill - pork chops, steak, hamburgers, etc. I'll look forward to reaping vegetables from our garden next summer to enjoy this recipe next summer!

Spiced Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
This recipe, as written, has been a favorite of my husband, the butcher, for many years. First made it from the Taste of Home cookbook. Last even, I substituted country ribs for the pork chops. Guess what - he loved them too!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I used our own fresh frozen blueberries. They are a bit sour, so I added some sugar to the blueberries prior to putting together the recipe. The sweetening of the blueberries + this recipe = a family approved muffin!

Spicy Pear Cookies

We thought this recipe was terrific! If you don't want to frost them, but would like a bit of sweet coating, roll in sugar before you bake them. Awesome!

Baked Ham with Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
This recipe not only was tasty, but quite simple. To avoid that messy roaster, I put a small amount of water in the bottom, place a sheet of foil with the edges folded up (to keep most of the water off), put the ham on it, and followed the basting instructions. It turned out very well. Caution - a lot of grocery store hams have quite a bit of water added, so this suggestion may not work for you. We have our own butcher shop and don't have this issue.
