Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
These were delicious! It was my 18 month old son's first year making Christmas cookies, which needless to say was an adventure. Even with having to roll it out 1000 times and having to keep flouring the board over and over, they came out delicious. Thank you for a great recipe!

Crab-Stuffed Filet Mignon with Whiskey Peppercorn Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This was absolutely delicious. By far one of the best recipes I've ever made. The sauce by itself was to die for and deserves 10 stars, it can be used on so many different things. It's a very pricey meal which is why it sat in my recipe box for over 2 years. We made it on Christmas Eve and even though I made the crab stuffing and began the sauce, as well as stuffed the steaks beforehand, it still took forever. I don't think I'll make this again because after all the time it took and the cost of the meal, we might as well have went out to eat. It was very very good, though and kind of made me feel like a chef :) Thanks for the great recipe!

Hoagie Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This is SOOO good. Just a tip for cutting the cheese. If you're not using a food processer, Just take a sharp chef's knife and slice the cheese a half lb at a time in long horizontal strips. Then when you go to cut vertical (to make small chopped squares), cut on an angle. It seperates the cheese so it's not big blocks that you have to seperate with your hands. Just a small time saver. Thanks for this great dip, will be making next week for tailgating!!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I made these 4 days ago and they are just as moist, soft and chewy as they were when they first came out of the oven. Absolutely delicious. I baked them for 9 minutes and they were perfect. I used all butter because I was out of shortening. these were so fantastic, thank you!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
These were very good. I made them for a cookie exchange. Made them the night before and they were still nice and soft the next day (and several days later) Fresh baking soda and room temperature eggs were key in finally getting the cookies to rise! This is the first time my snickerdoodles didn't "collapse" on me so thank you for a great recipe and thanks to the reviewers for great advice!

Banana Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
This bread is excellent, I used applesauce instead of oil and chocolate chips instead of raisins. I used 2 1/2 bananas (my son ate the other 1/2) and a little over 1/2 of a big can of pumpkin puree. I didn't measure. Half the batter went into a loaf pan and the other half went into a muffin tin. the muffins were done in about 20 minutes, and the bread took close to an hour. It was so delicious and moist. I'm making more tonight, thank you!!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
This was sooo good. There aren't even words. My husband was practically drooling over it and had three servings at dinner. I used all potato bread and Jimmy Dean's Sage Pork Sausage as suggested by others. It was absolutely delicious and absolutely gorgeous. I stuffed it right in the turkey and it was nice and moist. Thank you for an AMAZING recipe!

This couldn't have been any easier. Made with 1/2 OJ, 1/2 water, 1/2 brown sugar, 1/2 white. It was nice and thick after chilling in the fridge overnight. I will never, ever buy the can again!

Johnny's Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Delicious! I used the cast iron skillet but may try regular pans next time. The bottoms were a little hard, but was most likely my fault. I made them ahead of time and put the entire skillet in my refrigerator covered with damp paper towels so they wouldn't dry out. Baked them a few hours later. Still delicious just the same!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
I can't believe I never thought of this before. I lined my crock with tin foil for an easy cleanup. Was able to make my mashed while my son napped and didn't have to worry about them when came time for dinner with a hungry toddler running around!

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
This was delicious! I only had Panko bread crumbs (which can be very bland) so I seasoned them with seasoning salt, white pepper, oregano and this garlic and onion marinade spice. I sauteed the mushrooms with minced garlic in olive oil before adding them to the pan and added a can of cream of mushroom like other reviewers suggested. Served it with a veggie rice side dish. Delicious! I'm making a wrap with it today for lunch! Thanks for the quick, easy and delicious recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
This Stew is amazing! I followed Corrine's review almost exactly except I didn't us the red wine. I also doubled the veggies because we love lots of veggies in our soups/stews. I prepared it at night and left it in low for 8 hours, and my house smelled amazing in the morning! It was delicious and thick and full of flavor! Thanks for the great recipe!!

We made this last night and it was excellent!I'm not a huge "Salmon Fan" and I usually like it blackened. This was amazing! Best Salmon I ever ate and for once I finished the whole filet, lol. I marinaded them for about 20 minutes and cooked them at 450 for about 7-8 minutes on each side. Perfect. Thank you for a great and easy recipe!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
These were so great! I scaled higher because I was making them for my son's first birthday party. Close to 200 meatballs GONE in 3 hours. And that wasn't the only main course! Everyone kept saying, "What's the spice in these, yummm" haha. I couldn't use milk because I didn't have enough, so I substitutd eggs and they were still sooo moist and delicious. Thanks for a great recipe!

Delicious. I made this for Sam's Famous Carrot Cake (on this site). Was so delicious. Not too sweet. I even dyed a small amount orange and green and shaped as carrots on top of the cake. So cute and perfect for Easter :) Thanks for the great recipe!
