About this Cook
In a nutshell, I'm a mom to the most AMAZING little boy in the world, a wife to an equally amazing husband, a die-hard Eagles fan, and a social worker in Philadelphia. When I'm stressed, I take it to my kitchen and instantly feel better. It is where I can think, relax, and be adventurous. My mom, my husband and the many wonderful cooks here on AR, have taught me the most about cooking, and the rest I learn as I go.
My favorite things to cook
Seafood, cajun/creole, and anything and everything else.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my mom on the holidays with a bottle of wine and Christmas music on the radio.
My cooking triumphs
I love when I make something for a party or get together and everyone asks for the recipe.
My cooking tragedies
Fried chicken, each and every time I have tried to make it (all of 3 times)

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy
This was excellent, we both loved it. I used fresh mushrooms because I had a TON of them. The gravy was so delicious. It was a completely last minute dinner idea and was started and on the table in a half an hour. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. LOVE quick, easy, and delicious dinners. I will make this again, thank you!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions
Very good and easy to prepare. I may reduce cooking time, or lower the temp, because an entire layer hardened and burned to the bottom of the dish. Most likely user error though! What was salvageable was delicious! Thank you for the recipe!

Shrimply Delicious Shrimp Salad
I chopped the shrimp because they were too large. Had on crackers as a dip/salad. Only used 1/2 cup mayo and it was A LOT of mayo, so 3/4 cup may be too much, but it's all about your personal preference. May add some Old Bay instead of salt next time to switch it up. Thanks for the recipe!
