Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
If you make this recipe EXACTLY the way it states, you WILL have wonderful delicious biscuit gravy! I changed the servings to 10, in hopes to feed a family of 5 and there is MORE then enough for another breakfast. Half of this recipe was consumed with 20 small biscuits. Make sure to add the flour and mix beforehand.. then pour in the milk (which was more then 4 cups when you change the servings to 10) Looks like it is too much, but when its complete, you will have creamy delicious biscuit gravy! I will not be buying the pre-made kind, or sauce packages anymore!! Thank you!

Midwestern Pork Tenderloin Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Dipped pork in milk then into a flour, saltines, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a dash of onion powder mixture. Fried in olive oil until golden brown. THESE TURNED OUT GREAT! Served with lettuce, tomato and red onions. The taste of the pork was so good no one wanted to add any condiments! Served on fresh soft french rolls from the bakery. Will try again!

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
Wonderful bisque, I made the recipe exact, and at the end of cooking added kale and cooked chicken breasts that I cut up. When you cut up your potatoes you'll probally want to make sure the skins are off. (If not they will slide off the potatoes at the end of cooking and linger in your soup)

Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Delicious yet simple recipe! I've made this twice. Once the wine reduced, I added a can of crushed tomatoes my 2nd time around and added a bit more garlic, shallots and green onions for a fresh new taste. (cook the shallots first to get them tender) To wash clams, soak in fresh water for 20 min. then scoop up the clams (dont pour out) while the clams "breath" in the water they filter out the salty sand.

Pork Fried Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
This is a great recipe! It does not need changing at all! I made it 2 weeks ago the same way as described, and tonight I used shrimp instead of pork, and used a bag of frozen peas and cut carrots along with the green onion. If you do this you may want to drain the shrimp mixture, as it tends to hold water if you used defrosted frozen cooked shrimp. Thanks Peggy!
