About this Cook
I'm all about family !! I have a great husband and 3 great children !! I'm a stay at home mom and still trying to get used to it!! I love cooking and I love cooking for alot of people so holidays are the best. I love watching my son play baseball, just the smell of baseball dirt and hotdogs lets me know summer is here!! GO PHILLIES !!!! So I would have to say I have three passions in life,my family, cooking and baseball. Peace, Love and Happiness to all.
My favorite things to cook
Favorite things to cook? How do you narrow it down? I would have to say my Lemon Shrimp Scampi with Scallops and Whole Wheat Linguini. That is my husbands favorite and just to see the smile of satisfaction and his hands on his full belly is enough for me. And would have to say homemade mac n' cheese for the kids! Go figure, Right?!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter is old enough now to help in the kitchen so we'll be starting our cooking traditions now. She just recently made a cake from scratch which her daddy just loved. We're going to try to make a complete meal together once a week being that she's only turning 3 in June and has a little sister who doesn't like to be left out of things.
My cooking triumphs
I don't have a cooking triumph yet but putting dinner on the table and having my family leave with full belly's is a triumph in it's self !! Yea me !!!!
My cooking tragedies
I was making a homemade apple pie, traditional, easy right? Not!!! My crust was yuk!!! It tasted like school glue! My filling was good if you like fruit soup!!! I have yet to make a fruit filled pie ! HELP !!!!!

Garbage Plate Sauce
This recipe turned out horrific. I was so looking forward to it but the vinegar was still present even after the full cooking time and then some. Also the cinnamon, allspice and clove mix was just too over powering. I wish I could have some how saved it by doctoring it up but the combination of spices were too strong.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
These couldn't be any easier and even more delicious! They turned out perfect but I am sad to say they don't last long so you might want to double it!! Thanks for a cookie keeper!!!

Turkey Tetrazzini II
This is a great goto recipe for leftovers! I used turkey and the kids and hubby loved it ! Next time I will use mixed veggies instead of peas because the kids cleaned their plates, I can hide more veggies in this dish and they are none the wiser!!
