Linguine with Chicken and Sauteed Vegetables

This recipe surprised me by how much I liked it! I left out the cilantro and lime. To make it easier I used a bag of frozen brocolli/cauliflower mix, and a bag of pre-shredded coleslaw mix. I really like it!

Easy Pumpkin Cream Trifle

I made this for Thanksgiving. The only adaptation I did was the add a little swirl of caramel on top, and to make the pudding and whipped cream layers seperate. Everyone loved it - I had to leave the leftovers there for my brother!

Crawfish Dressing

I made this for Thanksgiving this year because I'm not a fan of bread dressings. I followed the recipe exactly and my entire family loved it! They wouldn't let me take the leftovers home with me - Thank you for the great recipe!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

I made this one night when I thought I was getting sick. My boyfriend LOVED it! Last week he brought up again how much he enjoyed it. I squirted limes into each bowl and added chopped cilantro as well. I also used 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can broth like others suggested. I added cumin and chili pepper to taste.

Mexican Style Shredded Pork

Turkey-Stuffed Peppers

I added 1/2 a cup of rice to this and used it to stuff 4 peppers. Also added hot sauce, pepper, and italian seasoning because the filling tasted a little bland. The tomatoes are great in them - next time I'll add more (only used 3 Roma ones).

Tomato Pie I

I made this last night using 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 mayo. I sprinkled all the spices on top (forgot to put them in). It was really good! I'm hoping it's going to be as good or better for lunch today!

Chinese Broccoli Slaw

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

I just made this and have already shared the recipe. I like tomatoes and rice with mine, so after it cooked I stirred in a can of petite diced tomatoes and 1/2 cup of jasmine rice. Very, very good!

Healthy Garden Salad

I've made this salad twice, as is. I've eaten it over greens and by itself. I've decided that it's at it's best when eaten an hour or so after making, and it gets worse after it sits for a couple days. The flavors all absorb each other and become bland. Next time I want to make a smaller batch and add white onion.

Quick Hoppin' John Soup

Made this for New Year's Day this year and it was very good (and easy). I cut the recipe in half and it still made 5 bowls. Because I like things spicy, I added cayenne pepper and hot sauce.

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

This was great!!! I made a couple small changes for health reasons: low sodium V8, no added salt. I also accidently forgot to add the extra water. I'm not a fan of V8 so I didn't think I would like this, but it's excellent! Very healthy too. Thank you!

Caramelized Onion and Blue Cheese Orzo

This is the first recipe I've made from this site that I did not like. I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. The flavors were overpowering and didn't mech well together - I even tried adding some tomatoes to my portion with no avail.

Edible Play Dough

California Roll Salad

This salad was very original and really does taste like a California Roll...which is exactly what I was craving! I found wasabi powder with the spices and used the flake style crab. EDIT: The salad is much better right after making and doesn't taste near as good the next day.
