Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler
This recipe really amazed me. After reading the ingredient list and directions, I was expecting a simple tasting family dessert with adequate texture, but nothing more. We were delighted when the cobbler emerged from the oven as an attractive and delicious dessert. The berry filling was perfectly gooey (not runny or dry). The batter had risen to the top to form a crunchy topping. The taste, while not flashy, was quite satisfying. I rated this recipe 5 stars since the small effort created a dish that was well worth the time and ingredients. There may be better cobbler recipes available, but this recipe did not fail to impress this amateur cook. As a side note, I used a frozen berry mix that had melted and refrozen into a block of berries and had planned to toss them since I couldn't separate the mess. This recipe saved me from being wasteful, in addition to creating a wonderfully tasty experience.
