Easy Indian Butter Chicken

I did the reduced fat recipe. 1/4 cup of butter and 1 can of evaporated milk. Used curry instead of tandoori masala. I didn't love it and wouldn't make it for myself again. HOWEVER, my sister and bf LOVED it.

Szechwan Shrimp

I made this for the boyfriend and he was pleased. I intended to make it just like the recipe stated. However, I brought all the ingredients over to cook and when I got to the honey I noticed I forgot. No problem I thought because I'm sure his family has some. Nope! Sugar. None! Brown sugar. Nada. His family are all diabetics! Who doesn't have ANYTHING sweet in their house. Finally I came across I can of mandarin oranges in light syrup. So I decided to go out on a limb and use the syrup instead. It was good!! Who would thought...ORANGES! The flavors had a lot of depth. It was the right mix of hot and sweet. My boyfriend was like how did you know to do that? I added a some steamed broccoli in the with the shrimp and poured over a batch of white rice. I sprinkled black pepper over the finished product for presentation. I was impressed with myself!

Indian Shrimp Curry

It doesn't look like the picture, but it was DELICIOUS!! I added a tsp and a half of sugar and a pinch of curry. I also cooked the shrimp when I put the coconut (lite) milk in. SO good!

Very good. Great winter dish. Changes included: Olive oil instead of butter A little garlic powder with the onions Tony Cacheren's instead of salt A cup of the chopped carrots added with the sausage Yes!

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

4 starts because we did make some changes to the original version. Added another can of tomatoes, turkey sausage, and cumin. It made it more hearty! Edit: The next time I pureed red beans bc I only had one can of black beans. Added a pinch of sugar, celery and it was deliciouso!

Good! Not restaurant style but good for chlly winter days. I used basic beef gravy and wocheschire sause in the beef. Used refridgerated mashed potatoes. Much enjoyed!

Pan Seared Lemon Tilapia with Parmesan Pasta

I enjoyed this recipes. There wasn't a WOW factor but it is definitely delicious, satisfying, and EASY. The only thing I added as a dash of cooking white wine when I started the fish. Will do again.

Beef Bourguignon II

This recipe was good but not great. It did heat up well the next day. I have only two suggestions. 1) I did not care for the canned pearl onions. I plan on omitting them next time. 2) I did use halp beef stock and wine as other reviewers suggested. 3) I added a couple dashes of worchestershire sauce for an extra zang, as I thought the finished product needed something else.

Baked Spaghetti II

This was a very different and delicious way to eat spaghetti. It also heats up very well the next day. I mixed everything together (added sauteed bell pepper and onions) and topped with mozzeralla cheese. Yum!

Spiced Chicken Loaf

This recipe was SO good. My changes were minimal. I added an extra egg like other reviewers suggested, and topped it with a ketchup and brown sugar glaze during the last 20 minutes of cooking. I also used Stovetop Chicken flavored dresssing since it was all I had. I and my sister enjoyed it very much...I can't wait to get hoome and eat some more!!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

I gave this four stars because it is a great base recipe. Like other reviewers, I added sour cream and cooking wine to the sauce. The presentation was beautiful, but I found that the finished product still needed a little bit of salt. WIth that being said I will make this again! P.S. I also used ground chicken (cooked in garlic powder, black pepper, and Mrs. Dash seasoning) because its easier for me.
