About this Cook
Stephanie is a well-seasoned teen (though almost into her next decade), wondering if her accounting major is the right thing to do. She is always on the lookout to satisfy her sweet tooth. Her second home (aside from the computer room and the bedroom) is the kitchen, though a little run down (hey, it's grandma's kitchen after all), still serves its purpose. If she wants to go a little more high tech, her other half lends her his oven. She loves every sweet in the universe (except licorice, if that counts) and hopes that one day her grandparents will let her cook them a full course meal...
My favorite things to cook
Brownies, cookies, pasta, anything Chinese
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandparents on my mom's were part of the (Chinese) resto business for years, so Chinese cooking is one of the traditions I suppose.

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce
I made this today with my boyfriend and it turned out great! We substituted half of the cream for milk because I'm too health conscious (but we didn't skimp on butter...I suppose it's a give or take situation) Instead of using spaghetti sauce, we winged it and skinned about 8-10 Italian tomatoes for the sauce, though I think it would have been better if we had pureed it before putting it in with the veggies (we put it in before the cream so that the tomatoes could settle and mash up a bit) I think next time I'll try it with just milk, less butter and probably a cup of wine and see what happens (because just the thought of all that butter and cream...yikes)

Angel's Pasta
I made this yesterday with my friends as a test for my boyfriend's surprise party. It turned out amazing! We used half a bag of spaghetti (because that was all we had in stock) and added a bunch of other stuff: 1 box mushrooms, 1 red pepper and put int a full 3 zucchinis (it really depends on size). My friends thought it was a bit watery so they added two tsp of premade tomato sauce, though I think letting it simmer would've sufficed. Overall really good, and the sauce was enough to cover all that pasta...yum!
