Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
they are the same as Red Lobster biscuits, I did`t use any garlic salt instead I added minced garlic to the melted butter and waited 10 minutes so the butter would get a deep garlic flavor and then brushed the biscuits immediately upon removing from oven.

Naan

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
it was very easy to make, I like that the dough is not sticky so I did`t need to roll them on a floured surface . I used my indoor electric grill and I used AP flour the only change I made is I used more water and 1/2 tsp baking soda ( recommended by another reviewer). UPDATE: I had the best results by using AP flour + 1TBS wheat gluten , but this time I did't use milk i used plain yougrt instead (about 5 or 6 TBS )and more warter (abot 2 TBS)and 6 TBS sugar.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

it was my first time to make pancakes from scratch, I think it`s better than any mix. I halved the recipe and used skim milk, one egg white and just 1 TBS of butter.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
I halved the recipe for one larg thin crust pizza. I added 1/4 tsp garlic powder + 1 TBS parmesan cheese + 1 tsb italian seasoning. I was making a thin crust so I just baked the crust and the toppings together. it was better and cheaper than any gross tasteless frozen pizza and not greasy like the delivered pizze.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
I made 16 muffines and baked them for just 25 minutes . I did`t wanna wait 30 minutes for the milk and the lemon juice , so I just used 1/2 cup of vanila yougrt instead of the milk and the the lemon juice. the texture is very moist and U don`t taste any whole wheat in it , but the problem is (as another reviewer mentioned)I was expecting a strong flavor from the banana like the classic banana muffine , but it seemes that the cocoa has the overwhelming flavor so be sure to use a very ripe banana, I did`t even taste the cinnamon. any way the recipe is only good when I`m bored of the classic banana muffines.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
I made falafel since I was 10 years old (not from canned beans ), and I did`t like this one at all, they were greasy and tasteless, may be it`s ok for people who did`t try the real authenticated falafel or used to make falafel from the falafel powder. I just tried this recipe coz it`s easier but I`m not going to make it again.

Blitz Puff Pastry

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
it was good ,and as the submitter mentioned it doesn`t puff high but I still have enough layers in m pastry. I used AP flour , for the bread flour I used the same mount of AP flour + 1 TBS wheat gluten, and for the cake flour I used 1 1/4 cup sifted AP flour. I hade to make mre folding and rolling coz the butter was still visible after step 3.

Moroccan Meat Cigars

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
I make these at least once a week coz my husband keeps asking for them all the time. I do the folowing changes: 1- before adding the ground beef to the skillet I add 1/4 cup chopped onion and stir them in the EVO until golden brown then I add the ground beef. 2- I use fresh chopped roma tomato instead of crushed tomatoes . 3- I add back pepper + clove of garlic and dried parsley just right before turning the heat off. 4- I brush them with real melted butter
