Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Yummy! I used all natural pb and made them as written and they turned out perfectly. Freezing the pb cups before using was a good tip. I baked them on a cookie sheet instead of muffin cups which didn't seem to make a difference except the recipe only yielded 25 cookies for me. Thanks!

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry with Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
Yum and easy. Sauce was good and only change I made was to substitue 1T chili powder for the paste. The sauce was enough to lightly coat the chicken and veggies. For veggies I used snow peas and red pepper which made for a colourful dish. Thanks!

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Don't know what it was about this chili recipe, but everyone in the family really enjoyed it. I cooked everything on the stove top and then popped it into the slow cooker for 6 hours on low. I think the cayenne added a nice zip! Thanks!

Half and Halfs

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Fun little cookie with lots of possible variations -- add orange zest, almond flavouring, nuts to the white part, white chocolate chips to the dark part, etc. I would agree to increase the baking time to 350F though. Thanks!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Everyone loved this meal. I followed the recipe almost exactly as written. I did add one cup of cooked rice which gave us 10 small burritos. One can of black beans was enough to feed the four of us. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Everyone in the family loved this recipe. I made it exactly as written without any changes and it was delicious. I cut 4 chicken breasts in half (like a book) and I think the thin cut is what made it so yummy and tender. Thanks for this easy and tasty recipe!

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
Great recipe. I didn't give it 5 stars only bc I had to add some more flour as the dough was very wet initially. Tasted great fresh or toasted. My daughter thinks we should go into the gourmet sandwich business with this bread!

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
My husband has been asking me to make a bean salad for a while now so I decided to check out "all recipes" to see what I could find. This bean salad was the best and my husband loved it. We even gave half of the rather large recipe to our neighbour for their dinner. I made it as per the recipe and served it on a bed of mixed greens with a toasted flat bread. I would agree that there was excess dressing but other than that, I wouldn't change anything in this recipe!

Pork Tenderloin with Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
I gave this 3 stars but really I would give the marinade a 5 star rating...it was the mustard sauce which no one cared for in our family. The marinade gave the meat a great flavour and it was very tender.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
We had these for dinner yesterday and everyone enjoyed them. I substituted green chilies for the green pepper and it gave them a nice zip. They are very filling and we found that one Chimichanga per person was enough. Kids thought maybe some rice in stuffing would be good too. Maybe we'll try that next time. Thanks for the recipe.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I made these cookies the other morning and they were gone by the end of the day. I made them exactly as per the recipe and didn't have any problems with sticking. I usually prefer cookies with chocolate in the ingredient list :) but these will be right up there with my favourites! Kids loved the chewiness.

Bread Machine Calzone

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Had this for dinner last night and the family really enjoyed it. I have made something similar with a slightly different crust recipe but we unanimously agreed that this crust was lighter and tastier than my other one. I did add garlic powder, basil and oregano to the dry ingredients and sprinkled parmesan on the top of the loaf as it baked. This recipe was good for 2 adults and 2 hungry children. Looking forward to trying other stuffings.
