Kinda hard choosing my favorites ~~ my goal is keeping husband well fed, on budget. We both enjoy most everything.

My favorite family cooking traditions

My Mom's *Fruitcake*; actually passed down from my Grandmother. Traditionally baked in late October, so it has **time to ripen** before Christmas, so to speak.

My cooking triumphs

Love both cooking and baking ~~ so it's hard choosing. Let me just say, anything that's not burned or scorched is a triumph. Beginning to believe beef franks rank right up there in *scorched* category! **LOL**

Crock Pot or Slow Cooked Flank Steak

I'm only giving this recipe *3* stars. Would like you to know, though, the meat was absolutely melt in your mouth tender. The carrot, though, tasted nasty, even my husband mentipned how bad it was. I would recommend leaving out carrot (cook on stove instead), then if you choose to add to dish when all done cooking, do so. Sorry for not so good review.

Sausage Potato Bake

Making this for dinner tonight. My only suggestion is to cover with foil, then remove about 20 minutes before done.

Double Quick Dinner Rolls

These are wonderful!! Years ago had cookbook with this recipe in it; over the years cookbook was lost. I'm thrilled to see AR publish this recipe. Thank you for sharin!!
