I hold 2008 version of the "Golden Chili Spoon" traveling award at my work place for this chili recipe. I did NOT deviate from this recipe. This truly is a fabulous chili recipe, and is quite hard to beat. Thanks so much for the recipe!!!

Potato Bacon Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I doubled the recipe, as I could tell this one was going to be a crowd pleaser! Sure enough...FAB-U-LOUS!!! I only made a couple minor additions. I put in 3C of frozen corn during the final 10 minute heat up, and, we like things "peppery" at our house, so I put in 1Tbsp of fresh cracked black pepper. THANK YOU for the wonderful recipe!!!

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Superb. I have a Toastmaster machine. And I followed the directions to the "T". It turned out fabulous! The hardest part of this whole recipe is trying to make yourself not eat the entire loaf after it is done. Just absolutely dee-LISH!

Pasta and Salmon Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
Just wonderful! I really wish this site would let you do half stars. As my wife and I give this recipe a 4.5. My only additions to the recipe was a Tbl. more of EVOO, a pinch more salt, and a tsp. more of lemon juice. Reasoning was, we cooked 12oz. of pasta as opposed to the 8oz. it called for. The smoked salmon and the taragon ABSOLUTELY make this dish what it is...YUMMY!!

Drunken Collard Greens

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Dee-lish-us! This recipe was my first experience with collards greens. And am I ever glad I bumped into it. I love to cook with beer and wine, and we were given a nice big bunch of collards from a friends' garden. So I thought, "what the heck!" So, so, so glad I made this recipe. I've made it three times so far in two weeks. I double the cayenne since my wife and I like things on the spicier side. I used chicken broth for one meal, and used vegetable broth for another. All depends on what you like. Both can be used. I think the ingredients that really have a major effect on the flavor is the bacon and the beer. I used a Stout beer for my dish. Nice and foamy, and thick. Great, great flavor. I also used 'real' peppered bacon from my local butcher. Not that Oscar Mayer . (My apologies to Oscar Mayer, but there is worlds better bacon out there.) =) THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS RECIPE! It is easily in my top 10.

Fruit Salad in Seconds

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
Just wonderful. Like most people are saying, any fruit works. I too did the 1/1 ratio of yogurt and berry medley cool whip. I added 1 cup of crushed walnuts as well. There were ZERO leftovers. I think that's the idea. Very tasty, very healthy, very easy and VERY popular. Thanks for sharing!
