I made this for my grandaughters 19th birthday and she said it was as good if not better than a local cheesecake shop that ships all over the country! I was very happy with the results of this recipe! Awesome!

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
OMG we made these today and they were awesome! I boiled the peppers and that did help with the heat. Next time I will take the advice of another reviewer and and soak the peppers maybe overnight. My hubby can eat them raw with no problem but even tho I love the taste my palette cant take the heat. I wish I had seen the tip about freezing them before hand to keep the cheese from melting.I will try that next time too. But they were so good. I am also going to cut the stem end off and clean them out and stuff that way to keep more cheese from melting out and hopefully reduce the heat as that end is the hottest. Seemed like the slit method lost alot of cheese. We did a have a few flare ups but that made the bacon crispy and so delicious. This is definitely a keeper. We will be making these again for labor day!

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
OMG... This was THE BEST turkey we have ever had!! The only change I made was adding about a qt. of apple cider to the brine and it was UNBELIVABLY moist and tender. And the flavor was out of this world. I could tell a big difference in the texture just carving it but when I put the first bite in my mouth I KNEW this was the way to go every year. Even my adult son who wont TOUCH white meat ate the breast and was amazed. My gravy which was usually used to moisten the meat was left standing this year! It was so good we bought another turkey to cook because this one produce few leftovers! What a simple way to flavor and tenderize a turkey! My fried chicken is gonna be brined too from now on if I have the time! Thank you for such a great tip for turkey! You folks HAVE to try it! You will be amazed as well!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
OMG...These were awesome!!!!! With over 400 good reviews I KNEW it had to be a winner!!!I love black beans and the taste of that fresh cilantro made it over the top!!!I have go to find a market that had fresh cilantro year round because these are gonna be on my menu ALOT!I followed the recipe as stated...always do to start with buy found it needed nothing! I even ate one for a quick breakfast one morning...it was fabulous and I wasnt hungry at my 10:00 break. I dipped the end in sour cream too and that makes it even better if that is possible. WOW what an inexpensive, easy, enjoyable meal. All you vegetarians out there...you have GOT to make these. I make a big bowl of the filling now and eat it all week.It would get more than 5 stars from me. TRY THEM!!

Banana Cake I

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
I made this last night and the flavor is very good. The only changes in the recipe I made was with the sugar and buttermilk. I didnt have any buttermilk and didnt want to make a trip to the store for just that so I did the old substitution with milk and lemon juice, The cake was very heavy tho. Not like a cake at all but more like a banana bread. I made it in a bundt pan. I too decreased the sugar to 1 cup but it was still very sweet. My grandkids LOVED it tho. All in all a good recipe for taste.. just not as light as a cake would be.
