Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
This was a pretty good dish. I added about 1 tablespoon of tabasco sauce as per one reviewer had suggested and it did give it a nice kick to the pork, but next time I'll omit it. My family enjoyed this dish and I will be making it again.

Pork Tenderloin alla Napoli

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This came out so good that my family couldn't believe that it was homemade (at first they thought I had ordered in from a restaurant what a compliment!)I fell in love with the tomato sauce. I used canned tomatos and some roasted bell pepper.

Easy Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
I really liked this recipe, you can make changes and adjustments and it turns out delicious. Instead of using mayo, salsa, and chili powder I used a packet of taco seasoning mix to the ground beef ( I used 2 lbs. of ground beef). Then I layered the ground beef, crushed tortilla chips, and I added a layer of refried beans and then the cheeses. I used a foil lined 9 by 13 inch baking dish. I baked it for about 15 minutes and then before serving I topped with sour cream, diced tomato and shredded lettuce.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
I used ground beef instead of the beef stew cubed meat. It came really good. I used 2 lbs. of ground beef of course I cooked and crumbled the meat before placing the meat in crock pot. I also sauteed mushrooms in a little butter in the same pan I used for the meat. I add 1/2 cup of white wine to the mushrooms and I added a beef boullion cube to dissolve. I did use Golden Mushroom soup and that makes the difference in the taste. I doubled the sauce ingredients for the 2 lbs. of ground beef and it came delicious.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
I used an immersion blender to blend the soup mixture and it came as a delicious gravy. The roast came out tender and delicious. I just think the meat could be seasoned with salt and pepper. But overall I thought it was good.

These cookies quickly disappeared, they were that good. I didn't have peanuts but they didn't need it. I baked them for about 10 min..

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
I liked how crispy the chicken came out, in my opinion the chicken needed a little more salt but other than that it was quite good. It is a little messy with the beer batter but well worth it. I used garlic powder with 1 tsp. of salt since I didn't have garlic salt. Other than that change in the recipe I followed it and it was delicious.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
This was so easy to prepare and the results are outstanding. This dish can be served for company and it makes it look like you cooked all day to prepare this dish. I used Lawry's Teriyaki Marinade and real bacon. I made the mistake of adding salt and it doesn't need it all. My dish came out a little bit salty but it was still delicious. I also added the cheese during the last 15 minutes of cooking.

Tender Breaded Turkey Cutlets

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
A very different way to prepare the turkey cutlets. Although my breading fell off with the first three cutlets the fourth one came out very nice and crunchy and I think it's because it didn't fit in the pan the fourth cutlet sat for a few minutes before cooking so I think that next time I'll let the breaded cutlets sit for a few minutes before cooking them. I added the dijon mustard to the sour cream and it was good. The turkey cutlets that I used were kind of thick not too much but not as thin as the recipe calls for and I cooked them a little bit longer and they were very moist and I salvaged most of the breading and even then the tukey cutlets were good. I gave 4 stars because of the breading falling off but I will try this again.

London Broil II

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
This marinade was able to tenderize the meat really well since I didn't have the cut of meat for London Broil I used it on three sirloin steaks and they came out really good. As for taste I think it needed a little more garlic but the family really liked it.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
These cookies are so good I have eaten practically half the bacth that I made since yesterday. Although they were a little bit spicy because of the cloves for my taste but they are still delicious. Next time I'll use less cloves and maybe a little more cinnamon. I also soaked the raisins in water for a little bit and this made a difference in the cookies texture.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2006
This recipe is one of the easiest to make but yet it looks and taste like it was made with alot of effort. I added heavy cream like others have suggested to make the sauce creamy and next time I will add double the mushrooms and sauce so that I can serve angel hair pasta. This was a hit with my family, it will be added to our meal rotation.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2006
My daughter loved this dish. Even though the tomato sauce takes time to make it is worth it. I followed the recipe but I did add a little more olive oil and onion, also with the spices I added 1/2 teaspoon of oregano. I did add a pinch more of the spices that the recipe called for because I was worried about the other reviews that the sauce was bland. I didn't think it was bland even with the additions I did. No more jars of spaghetti sauce for me!

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2006
This is a family favorite. The cake comes out moist and very chocolaty. I had only about 1 cup of chocolate chips left and even then it was good, just like how a chocolate cake should taste and also I used vanilla extract because I didn't have almond extract.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2006
The pork chops came out very tender and delicious. I doubled the recipe sauce to spoon over noodles and I used 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of cream of chicken soup but I didn't like it too much but it was good, next time I'll use 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. I'll be making these pork chops again because I was able to do some of the prep work in the morning before I left to work and my husband was able to put them in the oven and do the rest of steps of the recipe when he came home from work.
