Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
I too doubled the sauce (probably didn't need to) and used 5 breasts. Easily in the top 3 of chicken dishes I've EVER made and the best sauce I've EVER tasted. No more words are necessary. :-)

Chicken Chile Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Wow - I wasn't sure what to expect but we all REALLY enjoyed this! Very minor changes were made: green onion instead of regular, skipped the bell pepper because I forgot and no mushrooms cuz I don't like them. I didn't sautee the veggies first which kept them nice and crunchy, great texture. I also used nearly the full lb of pasta so I dumped in an extra can of diced tomatoes. Holy cow! Can't wait for leftovers tomorrow! Next time I will cheat tho and use a rotisserie chicken, cuz that was a little too much work...lol. :-)

Very tasty! I used a full pound of egg noodles so I doubled the sauce. Quick, easy and enjoyed by all.

Pasta with Hot Sausage Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
VERY good. I used hot turkey sausage and served over regular spaghetti noodles. Kicked the wine up to about 3/4 cup and added about a tsp of fennel. Wonderful!

Easy Lemon Bars

My boys inhaled these. I liked them because they weren't overly sweet, but nice and refreshing. Will definitely make again...thanks!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Very delicious. I cooked mine on high for about 5 hours and then let it stay on warm until dinner was ready. Also threw in a handful of rosemary. YUM!

Slow-Cooked Oriental Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
Pretty good, although I did doctor up the sauce quite a bit. I doubled it, added in orange zest and then cut the orange in half, squeezed into the pot and dropped it in to soak. Also used much more ginger than called for, more brown sugar and finally dumped in about a half cup of teriyaki sauce. Without the changes there was just not enough flavor for us. Sorry. :(

Baked Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
This was good. Not wonderful, but easy enough. I marinated for a couple hours and used canned diced tomatoes w/the mozz at the end. I had to cook mine closer to 35-40 minutes but they were fairly thick breasts. Thank you!

Taco Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This was fine - nice and quick. The flavors tasted a little strange together but was easy to put together at the last minute. Honestly I'd rather just fix a Lipton rice side. But thank you for the recipe!

Peppered Bacon and Tomato Linguine

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
Couldn't find peppered bacon either so just used pepper. I let my 16 year old son make it, the recipe was easy for him. We also used about a half-box of broth and then about a cup of fat free half&half for more sauce. Oh and a 28 oz can of tomatoes. Yum yum!

Rainbow Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Have made this twice now and it has been a hit at both cookouts. I cheat and use canned petite diced tomatoes and also added in some black olives. Will definitely be used many more times. Thanks!

Mushroom Orzo

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Good, but not as flavorful as other orzo recipes we like. It was very easy to make and would compliment a heavily spiced meat. Just not as bold as we are used to. I'm glad we tried it though!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Very tasty! I used turkey sausage so I believe this was fairly healthy! It was soupy but I just added in a bit of a cornstarch flurry near the end & stirred in the rice that had steamed earlier. A nice easy twist on jambalaya. Served with sweet cornbread.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
I personally seasoned the heck out of the meat/sauce but that is due to personal preferences of bold tastes. Some garlic salt, montreal steak seasoning and lots of fresh cracked pepper. Also added in a can of cream of mush and a few splashes (maybe 1/2 cup) of red wine. Fabulous!

Slow-Cooked Ham 'N' Broccoli

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This was SO easy and quite good! I didn't want to go to the store, so I had to leave out the celery and water chestnuts. Also, I was using a 16 oz jar of Ragu cheese sauce so I doubled the other ingredients, including a 32 oz bag of (still) frozen broccoli. It was probably finished in about 3 hours but I just kept it warm for the rest of the day, occassionally adding some broth to thin it out. Thank you for the simple supper that we ALL enjoyed!

Paprika Chicken with Sour Cream Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
I wasn't sure how this would turn out but we were very impressed with the chicken! I followed other's advice and doubled the spices in the coating. Also added a few splashes of broth to thin the sauce. Will definitely keep this in the rotation. Thanks!

Pork Chops to Live For

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Ooh these were really good! I skipped the breading and browned in leftover bacon grease from breakfast (I'm sure that didn't hurt the flavor at all!) I also added some white wine to the 'gravy' - cooked on low so long they literally fell off the bone. Will def make again.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
Very tasty! I decided to just get messy and spread the mayo with my hands. I then sprinkled them generously with McCormick's Montreal Chicken seasoning and then the breadcrumbs. I did broil them for a couple minutes at the end to crisp them up a bit more. Yum!

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Very good and very creamy. I used milk instead of water. I cooked the rice in the microwave and then mixed the soups into the same bowl when ready. Mixed the thawed broccoli in (uncooked). Poured it in the dish and put the cubes of cheese on top. Cooked the rest per instructions. No celery or onion just cuz I'm lazy. ;)

So easy and tasty. Great to cut into thin strips and serve like breadsticks. Also delicious to serve with pasta. Will definitely reuse this recipe!
