Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This has been a holidy favorite in my family since I can remember. The only thing we do differently is that we put all the "toppings" in and then drizzle the condensed milk over the whole pan before baking. It seems to help glue all those chips together, and makes the bars less crumbly.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2013
Yummy! I swapped out the wheat germ for flax meal and added a few tablespoons of brewers yeast to make these into Lactation Granola Bars. Also added a teaspoon of baking soda so they puffed up a bit like a cookie.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
Awesome! I microwaved the butter too long and it melted. I just stirred it in with a spoon and it still turned out perfectly. This was a hit at a dinner party we had. Definitely will make this again.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
The only change I made was to add a bit more vanilla. My family loved this one. I'll definately be making it again!

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
I've been making these for a few years and they've been dubbed "Balls of Goodness" by my friends. I use different types of chocolate and toppings to add some visual variety to the platter. I keep them in the fridge until I send them to work or serve them at home. So Yummy!!

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
This bread came out great. I substituted 1 cup fat free milk and 1 tbls white vinegar for the buttermilk. I took this into work and it was devoured! I will definately make this again. UPDATE- Just changed to 5 stars! Made this bread 3 times in 2 weeks with NO leftovers! YUM!!

Spaghetti Carbonara

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
Love this...and more importantly, my husband loved it. It's great to have another quick weeknight meal ready to go. YUM! I also added black pepper. And I turned off the heat when the I added the spaghetti so the eggs wouldn't scramble. Just keep turning the pasta with tongs until the sauce thickens.

Great recipe! Left out the rice cereal and added some onion powder, as suggested by another reviewer. My husband loved it.

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Loved these muffins!! I used fat free milk so I decided to use at least some oil. So I poured a "splash" of oil into the 1/3 cup measure and topped it off with apple sauce. I also used a quick streusel topping. THey came out moist and very tasty. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was that the papers didn't peel away from the muffins very well and I lost a lot of muffin to the trash. Next time I'll just bake them in a greased pan.

Sugar Cookie Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
I really liked the final consistency of this icing. I was using royal icing for gingerbread, and it was just too crunchy when it set up. This icing sets firm so you can stack your cookies, but won't break your teeth when bite into them. :) The onlly thing keeping this at 4 stars was that the icing dried slightly cloudy. Maybe I needed to use more color. Overal, very happy with this recipe. :)

Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
These came out great, but there is a lot of dough! I don't know how 16 rolls could fit into a 9x13" pan. I had to use 2 pans. Other than that. I got rave reviews from friends. I iced them with a cream cheese frosting and served them warm. Yummy!

Roll-Out Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
The dough came together very quickly and it rolled out easily. It cracked a lot when I re-rolled the scraps. But it wasn't terrible. This is a really great recipe for beginning bakers.

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
This cake was great! I cut the recipe in half and got 12 perfect cupcakes. Now lets talk about the icing....It took FOREVER to cream the sugar and butter. The grainy sugar took a long time to get smooth. And then by the time it was ready to add the cooked mixture, that must have cooled too much and got clumpy. No amount of beating/whipping woulg get those clumps out. I served them anyway - to some friends, who said the taste was amazing and I could call it tapioca icing. I will definately make the cake again, but that icing needs work.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
These were just okay. There was WAY too much butter - and I even took the advice of other reviewers and only used 3/4 cup. I tried adding more oats to soak it up and still had a pool of butter in the bowl. Once I put the first layer in the pan, I blotted it with a paper towel that ended up soaked in butter. The finished product was pretty bland. I probably won't make this again.

Chipotle Honey Roasted Peanuts

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
I expected these to be spicier. THe heat hits you at the back of the throat at the end. Not too bad, but I thought they were a little too sweet.
