About this Cook
Im a 17 year old Sudanese Canadian who loves to cook canadian/American foods. The only food I have grown up cooking is African food, so I love to try out Canadian foods for a new twist. I really don't know anything about cooking these kinds of foods, but I love to try and sometimes I get good results =) and sometimes I don't, but i enjoy trying anyways. I wanna become an expert so Im gonna keep trying till I get there. I think cooking is very important for a woman to learn and I don't believe in instant or microwave foods. I like the real stuff and when I have my own family I want to be able to serve them a whole variety of foods.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything pretty much everything except for deserts, I love to make breads ex banana breads. And I love to cook dinners and meals, that take time and effort. And love making breakfast.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I m sorry to say I have none or I m not to sure actually.
My cooking triumphs
Sheperd's Pie (I was so proud of this one), Meatloaf, Banana bread (Loved this one), Vanilla Cake, Grilled Banana Sandwich, Pancakes (Proud of this one too), Patatoe Casserole (yummy)
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate chip cookies (I knoe how sad and these are sappose to be the simpliest but hey this is all new to me), Scones (I was so sad), Baked Patatoes wedges, there's more ..i just can't remember them all.

Shepherd's Pie
WOW that was fantastic , everyone loved it...I m a begginer making sheperd's pie for the the first time (I only cooked african food all my life) and I was pleased with the results. I took many suggestions like doubling the potatoes and putting some at the bottom and I used frozen veggies instead of canned. Thanx for the recipe. Very hearty =)
