Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
Just made this tonight. It was wonderful! I had never had butternut squash before and I am so happy that I tried this. I did roast squash first as recommended and it was very easy. The peeling part wasn't, but I will figure that out. There has to be an easier way, regardless, I loved this and can't wait to have it for lunch again tomorrow! Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Delicious! My whole family loved these fries. They were not crispy but so unbelievably tasty that it didn't matter.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
Must admit, I made a mistake and used baking soda instead of baking powder the first time I made this (since all I had was ap flour) and I was going to rate this a 1 star, but after realizing my mistake and correcting it, I am so glad I did! This bread is so yummy! I used a Coors light and added the 1/3 cup of sugar, as suugested by others. I also added 3 tsp baking powder and 1.5 tsp of salt since I did not have self-rising flour. Easy, easy, easy, and it is SO delicious! Kids and hubby love this.

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
Loved it. In an effort to keep the fat down, I opted for baking as previous reviewers recommended. Instead I laid the breaded chicken on foil lined cookie sheets and sprayed with a light coating of cooking spray. I used very thin chicken breasts so I baked at 375 for 20 min. It probably could have been 15. They came out crispy and delicious!

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
This bread is wonderful!! The only diffference I made was to put the water, sugar, and yeast in the bread machine first and allow it to foam for 10 minutes. I only used the bread machine on the dough setting and baked it in a bread pan in the oven. 375 for 30 min was perfect .I will now go back and make it the exact way the recipe says and see if there was any difference.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Great tasting bread! Everyone in my family loved the bread and it lasted for one night. My only substitution was olive oil for vegetable oil, it was still great!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Made as directed and while the actual salisbury steaks were good, the gravy was not. Noone liked the flavor and mostly ate only the meat and noodles I made to go with it. I don't think I did anything wrong, but the onion soup flavor was so overpowering.

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
This was very good for a 'lower' fat alfredo. I only made it 4 stars because it was too sticky with the parmesan cheese. I will try to add more milk next time but as far as taste goes, it was great. I used ww linguini and 2 out of 3 kids loved it. That means keeper in my house!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
Made this last night. My DH loved this chicken. This is a definite keeper. The chicken was juicy off the grill and kept for the hour and a half we had to wait for my DH to make it home. Served with grilled vegetables and brown rice. GREAT MEAL!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
I hate to rate this anything other than a 5 star, but this dish did not live up to it's rating. This is not a 'kid friendly' meal, I made this specifically because others stated their kids loved it. My kids picked at this and took only a couple of pieces of chicken out. I am really sad that this wasn't as good as it sounded, it was so easy!!!
