Snowballs II

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
Perfection. I halved it and found that I needed a bit more butter to keep the balls together. The tip about underdoneness - VERY useful. My oven tends to be hot so I took them out at 6 Mins for the first batch then turned it down to 350 and baked them til 8.

Gyoza Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
OMGosh! This was a huge hit at our fondue Christmas celebration. We dipped everything in it - it was addictive. I also used it as a marinade for some left over mushrooms and make a tofu scramble on Christmas morning! I only used a pinch of the red pepper flakes and subbed Bragg's Amino's since I am gluten free. Stunning!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
These are amazing!!! I made these in our office one day and people went crazy over them. It was like a healthy version of popcorn. I just use sea salt and pepper or sometimes a little garlic powder.

Strawberry Rhubarb Cream Pie

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
The custard was amazing! My husband really likes the pie he doesn't like things overly sweet - I tried a little and was not crazy about it, but he also had is ala mode. I would use more strawberries or cut them smaller for better distributions and sweetness. I used what was left in the bowl of the custard mixture for the glaze and covered the pie in tin foil until the last 5-10 mins. I made one hefty double crust pie by the time it baked down it was fine.

AMAZING flavor! I added two pinches of Cumin and used organic sesame Tahini, then added about two tablespoons of raw sunflower seeds. Very very nice!

Cuban Smoked Sausage with Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I made a few mods - Turkey sausage, olive oil, one can garbanzo and one can black beans. I had a red pepper and onion flake seasoning on hand so I used that and only used the adobo seasonings (homemade) along with a full 15.5 oz. can of Muir Glen Tomato sauce. Everyone is spot on with let it simmer! Delicious.

Linda's Monster Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
Amazing!!! These are like the huge store bought cookies or the kind you might get from Panera and other popular restaurants. Keep in mind that they do not spread so pat them out to the size you want them to be before baking.

Flavorful Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
I added ginger and garlic. Cooked the meat mixture first then added all my veggies so they all had the yummy flavoring. I also substituted Braggs for the Soy Sauce - so it was Gluten Free.
