Hi, everybody! Thanks for looking at my profile. I really love cooking and baking. I am a vegetarian and a big vegetable, salad and dessert lover. I like Mexican, Latin American, Asian, Indian, Arabic food and I'm always searching for new recipes and for new different ways of preparing meals. I love AR and I can say I am getting better and better thanks to Allrecipes.
My favorite things to cook
Everything! Salads, meat, fish, chicken, desserts, pies, bread, cocktails etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn`t have special cooking traditions. I think I am the only one person in my family who is interested in cooking. So, the traditions start here.
My cooking triumphs
When I make a dish and later many times I hear from my family how wonderful it was, it is my cooking triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Cream Puffs, I think. The one dessert recipe I can`t make right. Once I created rhubarb pie and we loved it so much. But when I made it for the second time it didn't turn out at all. It seems I realized what I made wrong, but this mistake completely changed the taste and the texture of my pie and we have a raw rhubarb/flour mess instead. My parents ate it and said it was good, but for me it wasn't edible at all.

Sicilian Easter Pie
This is a good, nice, but not a rich pie. Delicious on its own, but the taste is not very festive. I agree with other reviewers that the dough is very difficult to work with. 2 cups flour is too much, I added 1 3/4 cups and it was plenty. The dough is crumbly and it is imposible to cut it. I put it into baking springform and pressed with my fingers. It is the only one that I could do with it. I didn't have enough of the dough to make the lattice strips. So I ended up making crumble topping. The recipe makes too much filling, so be sure to make large edges. The filling is a little runny but it sets quickly in the oven. I think the pie has too much rice, 3/4 cup would be enough.

Best Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce
This was very good, nutricious and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, but used a little less sugar. This makes a great breakfast. Definitely will try this again, playing with other dried fruits.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie
This is a very good recipe. The pie is lemony, delicious and very refreshing. The perfect balance between sweet and sour. The curd concistency is perfect. I used just 3 egg whites for the merengue because egg yolk dropped into egg whites and realized with four whites it would be better. Will use this recipe again especially in the summertime.
