Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
Too much salt in the brownie part of the recipe. I liked the frosting a lot though...and will be making that part again!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
I made the recipe as is and it was delicious, but a little too sweet. Next time, I will follow other reviewers' suggestions to increase the peanut butter to 1 cup and decrease the brown sugar and confectioners' sugar to 2 and 3 cups, respectively.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
Added 1/4 cup extra flour and 1/2 cup extra oats. They came out a little saltier than most cookies, but they taste just perfect like that! Delicious!

Flank Steak Barbecue

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
I have been making a recipe very similar to this for years. Only, we use more soy sauce (1/2 cup), only 1/2 of Italian dressing (in lieu of oil and vinegar), and 1/2 worcestershire sauce. Also, we tenderize the flank steak on both sides with a fork before adding it to the marinade. So delicious!!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
Easy, basic recipe. When making chicken parm, I always use this as an ingredient checklist and then prepare the chicken to taste. Always a hit!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I have made this twice: once with whole wheat flour and once with all-purpose flour. The all-purpose flour batch turned out significantly better and received rave reviews from my husband. Great recipe! Thank you!

Pumpkin Cookies with Penuche Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
For penuche lovers, these cookies are irresistible! Mid-recipe, I ran out of all-purpose flour and had to use 1/2 cup whole wheat flour...but they still turned out wonderfully. My only suggestion is not to reduce baking time below 10 minutes...that makes them way too soft and they tend to crumble. Great as-is recipe! Thank you!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Classic key lime pie, and oh so easy! Once the pie was finished, I cut it into thin slices, stuck popsicle sticks in the ends with the crust, froze them on wax paper, dipped them in melted chocolate, and then re-froze the pie bars. Incredible!

Popovers

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
These stuck to the pan and got pretty burnt when I followed the directions to a T. I would recommend reducing both temps, and possibly melting some butter in the muffin tin before adding the popover "dough."

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Cream cheese can be reduced significantly without affecting the end result too much (I once cut it in half). Also, no one can tell the difference when reduced fat cream cheese and ranch are used...and I think it actually turns out better that way. I love this recipe! (Other buffalo chicken dip recipes tend to suggest bleu cheese, which I find disgusting and can pick out immediately. Thanks for not including that nastiness in this recipe!)

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Dude...this stuff is to die for. Every time I make this recipe, I'm treated like some sort of culinary goddess. I've made it with the suggested amount of butter as well as the halved amount (per other reviewers' suggestions) and no one could tell the difference. Also, this caramel corn is just asking to have nuts added to it...they make it even better! I've used cashews and dry roasted peanuts, and both were delicious.
