About this Cook
My wife and I both enjoy cooking and we often make our meals together. My wife also enjoys baking sweets, which is something I'm not into (although I do help to devour them! lol)
My favorite things to cook
I love to BBQ, cook Italian dishes and anything that can be done in my trusty old Crockpot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a long line of plain "meat n taters" kind of cooks. Growing up my father was the cook in the house and he's probably my biggest influence, however I'd like to think that my thinking outside of the box has allowed me to surpass his edible but bland menus. (lol sorry Pops)

Golompke (Beef and Cabbage Casserole)
Excellent recipe! I especially liked the use of the coleslaw mix, which I was kind of sceptical about.. It was a fantastic dish! Everyone wanted more - I will never make traditional cabbage rolls again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the lack of seasoning, I added paprika, dill weed, salt & pepper and a can of whole plum tomatoes with juices. I plan to play with this one quite a bit, different meats, veggies etc. Thanks for posting!

Pepperoncini Beef
YUMMMMMMMMMMM! Don't change a thing! (Also, Gyros are Greek pita sandwiches with beef/lamb filling and a special cucumber sauce called: Tzatziki.)

Slow-Cooked, Texas-Style Beef Brisket
People who are saying that this was burnt and chewy.. listen up! lol you can't reduce the size of the cut to accomodate less people and NOT change the cooking time as well! 1 reviewer wrote that she calculated for 4 people, which is only 1.5Lbs of brisket - then it states that she still cooked it for 24 hours!! Of course it was leathery and inedible - reduce the cooking length too!. This is a 5 star recipe when done properly. I did add some chipotle and some hot cayenne sauce to counter the sweetness.
