Diner-Style Baked Potato Home Fries

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
This is a good way to use up extra baked potatoes. I recommend peeling them first.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2012
I did not have bread crumbs so I crushed Sundried Tomato Basil Wheat Thins, then added the seasoning. It was tasty, but I did have to bake an hour. My only complaint, and it's will most breaded recipes, is soggy breading on the bottom layer.

Shepherd's Pie V

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
We enjoyed the spices, but there was too much liquid. I will reduce it to about 1/4 cup next time. I always add garlic and/or garlic salt to the top of the cheese, too.

Mom's Purple-Hull Peas

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
These are good, but need much more salt. I used Splenda instead of sugar.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
I used about 3 lbs. of round steak and even the teenager ate it (after picking out the peppers, onions and tomatoes, which were delicious). I cooked it during a day when i could turn the crock pot off after about 6 or 7 hours.

Chili Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2012
4.5 Stars: I let 3 frozen boneless skinless breasts thaw for 2 days in the marinade, then grilled. The husband and I really liked it, but the teenager not so much.; 2nd time, I baked it and it was very good. We used chicken legs and breasts. The breasts are far superior.

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
4.5 Stars for ease and taste. I cooked 5 breasts on high for 4 hours, then shredded and refrigerated until dinner the next night. We used them in soft tortillas and I plan to make quesadillas as well. Super easy and tasty.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
This was super easy, especially since my roast was mostly frozen. I just spread minced garlic on top instead of inserting it. We made sandwiches as pictured, and my daughter wanted them served with au jus. I will try them in the future with extra not-cooked pepperoncini, lettuce, mayo, etc.

Grilled Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
We used zucchini and weren't huge fans, mainly because of texture. If we try it again, we won't grill as long.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
My husband said to stop looking for blueberry muffin recipes, this is it! I filled the muffin cups almost to the very top, used the exact ingredients and they were incredible. I might possibly try brown sugar in the topping next time.

Black Bean and Corn Salad II

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
I used less oil and more fresh lime juice. I definitely recommend the fresh cilantro. It is very good and I like other reviewers' suggestions of adding pasta and/or chicken for an entree. It makes a lot and I will probably half it next time as my other family members did not want to try it. Add more salt.

Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
I will try this again. I only baked four smallish potatoes and in my new crockpot, it made the skin too tough.

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
I sprinkled the seasoning, but skipped the browning process and baked it longer. It was good.

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I used fat free 1/2 and 1/2 and it separated, so it wasn't very eye-appealing. The flavor was okay, with lemon.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I marinated 1.5 days. I cut the marinade in half and it was more than plenty for two steaks. I hate throwing aways huge amounts of marinade. It was still a little salty, but good. The cook time made ours almost well done. ugh.

Jalapeno Popper Cups

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
I used pickled jalapeno and should have used fresh. Overall, a good way to serve poppers, but not special.

Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
The flavor is good, but the mouth-feel is unappealing. I put them with sugar free ice cream and it helped, but the diabetic in the family did not take them home.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
I don't know about the "best", but it is simple and good. There is a fine line between undercooked rice and mushy and I added a bit more chicken broth toward the end.

Peking Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
I marinated these overnight and baked them. They would have been more tender in the crock pot.
