French Onion Soup Gratinee
I have a few questions and I couldn't find an option to email the recipe author. 1. Does it matter if I use fresh parsley and thyme? And should I use Italian Parsley or just the regular kind? 2. re: Red Wine, should I get a merlot, cab etc? I would expect the type of wine would affect the flavor of the soup. (or am I just over thinking things) Thanks so much!

Carrot Cake III
My boyfriend loved this recipe! I went ahead and used some of the previous suggestions like: substituting half of the vegetable oil with apple sauce and adding one can of crushed pineapple to it. I noticed that when I used crushed pineapple that it increased the moistness of the cake compared to the second time when I did not add the pineapple. I also used 1 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar and added 1 tsp of nutmeg. The amount of powdered sugar was too much for the cream cheese frosting so I only used 2 cups, which made it much better!
