Gourmet Beer Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2014
This was delicious. I made soft pretzels to go with it and everything was gone by the end of of the night. Personal preference: I'd add more beer to make the cheese just a touch thinner but the flavor was on point. I will definitely make this again!

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
This is my go-to recipe for taco seasoning. I use it on chicken, shrimp and even just veggies sometimes. I never buy packets of seasoning anymore!

Quick and Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
The second time I made it I changed a few things that made it 5 stars for us. I used 18 oz tuna instead of 12. Substituted a can of cream of chicken for cream of mushroom and added a little milk, celery salt, and mustard powder. My husband and I actually liked the crunchy onions that some other commenters did not enjoy!

Warm and Creamy Bacon Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
This dip was fabulous and a hit at our Christmas party. I used 6 oz REAL bacon bits and added a bit of ranch powder. Served with bagel chips. My husband said the best part for him was the little bit of green onion in every bite to cut down on the richness - don't skimp on the onion and dice it small!!

Boston Cream Pie Minis

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Delicious little "pies!" I agree with raters that used two packages of pudding - one was just not enough! Also, I made mini cupcakes and will not be doing that again...too hard to get out and the base is very small to make a steady base. A normal size cupcake still makes a lovely, petite dessert.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
This was a great summer side dish! I seeded all my veggies before chopping and added a little hot sauce in place of some of the lemon juice. Served with salmon...delish!

Cube Steak Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
I made this tonight using some inexpensive "manager's special" ribeye and it was fantastic! I used Ritz crackers because that was all I had and doubled the salt, pepper, basil and oregano to make it extra flavorful. I also added a little minced onion to the sauce. I will definitely be putting this in dinner rotation! Served with spaghetti squash it is a wonderful, tasty, EASY dinner!

Beef Roast in Red Wine (Carni Arrosto al Vino Rosso)

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
This was delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. Next time I will use half the wine, half the broth, and double the onions and tomatoes. (There was just A LOT of extra sauce at the end.) It would also be delicious adding some mushrooms towards the end of cooking. This is a great recipe if you love to cook roasts but want to try it with a twist!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Gave this one 5 stars even though I did not use the corn. It was delicious and is now my favorite way to make quinoa. Served with "Cuban Style Sea Bass."

Sea Bass Cuban Style

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Absolutely delicious. Followed the recipe exactly except that I did NOT seed the tomatoes and used extra red pepper for spice. Served over "Quinoa with Black Beans" (minus the corn) and it was a delightful combination.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
Quite simply this recipe is PERFECT! I followed the recipe ingredients exactly (using Tapatio for the pepper sauce.) The only change I made was cooking time - I placed in the crocker for 8 hours on low, removed the onions to a bowl, removed and shredded the beef, and then placed the meat back in the crocker on low for one more hour. When it was done I remixed it with the onions and served on soft flour tortillas with avocado, lettuce, and tomato. I have already transcribed this to my recipe book - it absolutely a keeper!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
These rolls are amazing. I followed the recipe ingredients exactly and they turned out fluffy, light, and slightly sweet. I didn't bother with rolling out the dough and cutting them - I simply plop the dough on a greased and floured baking sheet and then divide the dough into small round balls...saved time and the rolls still came out beautiful.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Excellent! My husband LOVES this bread. I used a tablespoon of lemon juice in a cup of milk to "make" my buttermilk and per the original recipe poster used whole wheat flour in place of all-purpose. DELICIOUS!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I changed the servings to 12 (per another rater) and the filling fit perfectly in a 9 inch premade chocolate crust. This pie received rave reviews from my guests. I served it with Reddi Whip and it just melted in our mouths. Will make again and again!

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Delicious and soft! I halved the recipe and it made 8 perfect breadsticks. The only thing I changed was adding some garlic powder and italian seasoning to the melted butter before serving.

Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
These are amazing! I took some advice and divided the recipe because it was only myself and my husband for dinner - halved perfectly. I added a 1/4 tsp of sugar as well. Delicious, will definitely make again and again!
