Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
Thank you! I used to always make our chicken noodle soup with storebought dried out egg noodles. But it started bothering me that my darling stepson always preferred the canned homestyle chicken noodle soup at his mom's house, over the soup that I'd spend a lot more time on. So then I got my mom's egg noodle recipe and my soup instantly became the best soup ever. However, it was a simple recipe like 1 cup flour, 1 egg, half a shell of milk. This recipe is signifcantly better. ;) Thanks again.

Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
I made this with a bag of hashbrowns from the fridgerated section of the grocery. Soooo good. My husband is completely enamored.(I personally don't like frozen hashbrowns so I get the refrigerated ones. I never can shake the frozen taste off the frozen ones.) Update: I usually make this with turkey sausage, however, my grocery store stopped carrying. So I now make it with the Turkey Sausage recipe from this site.:) I personally like pork sausage better than turkey sausage but I this with this casserole turkey sausage tastes better.

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I am giving 4 stars because I used all of the modifications offered by viewers which was what would have knocked this recipe into the 5 star range. I used 1 box of cornbread mix and followed those directions for making the corn bread, then I added the cheese and dogs (I used pepperjack- delish!!) Since I was using half as much cornbread, I did 5 dogs. I think the original proportions would probably work better as they could have used just a wee bit more batter to hold together. So next time 4.5 dogs for 1 box or 9 dogs for 2 boxes. I followed 1 reviewers suggestion of simply tossing the hotdog (cut into bite sized bits) into the batter after the cheese. This is definately the way to go, far easier than layering. I used about a cup of cheese and since I did about a half recipe this is really double the cheese and it was a good, unhealthy call. This makes an awesome party food. Next time I have a potluck, I'll buy a mini muffin tin to do them in. Way better than piggies in a blanket and significantly easier.
