Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2001
This is one of the best meatloaf recipes I have ever fixed. My entire family (except the 5 year old) loved it. I am going to try it without onion for him, since that was his only objection to it.

Big Pot Sauce

Reviewed: May 5, 2001
My whole family loved this sauce. Even the picky 5 year old who only eats his spaghetti with butter asked for some of this because it smelled so good, and ate every bite. I cooked mine in my slow cooker for 24 hours, which made it very easy. It freezes very well, and makes three meals worth of sauce for our family.

Better Slow Cooker Robust Chicken

Reviewed: May 6, 2001
Overall this was a delicious recipe. I served it over rice. However, the teenagers only thought it was okay, and the six year old tasted it and absolutely refused to eat it. This is definately more of an adult taste.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: May 6, 2001
This was absolutley delicious. The cheese made a "crust" on the top the first time I made it, however, so I mix the cheese in with the green beans.

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: May 10, 2001
This recipe can be improved upon by steaming fresh green beans instead of using the flabbier textured canned beans, and using shredded or shaved parmesan or romano instead of grated for improved adherance to the beans. We also had to cut back tremendously on the amount of olive oil and butter after making these the first time, as they were so greasy we had to drain them on paper towels before they were edible.

Cheddar and Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2001
I fixed this recipe for my 4th of July picnic, and everyone just loved it. I did use shredded cheddar instead of cubed cheddar, however. This recipe is definately a keeper!

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2001
This is one of the moistest, tastiest tuna casseroles I have tried. Even my picky 6 year old loved this one, and so did my teenagers. This one also warms up well. I also tried this one with a package of frozen egg noodles, for variety, and my family loved it.

Not a single bite of this went to waste! My husband and I loved this so much, we packed the leftovers for lunch!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2001
These were absolutely delicious! Because of long experience with roasted potatoes, I allowed an hour to roast, and covered with foil for the first 40 minutes. This is definately a keeper!

Broccoli Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2002
I was really disappointed by this recipe. It did not have much flavor. My husband and I just couldn't eat it, and we love broccoli.

Chicken Jerusalem I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2002
We absolutely loved this dish! I added garlic to zing it up a little, and can't wait to experiment with other seasonings with this sauce. I am not sure why some reviewers had trouble with a strong wine taste. I thought it was just perfect. My only thought on the problem is that it may have been the wine they used. You should never use "cooking wine" or el cheapo wine in a sauce. If it isn't good enough to drink at the table, it isn't good enough for the sauce!

Mustard Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2002
Not only was this an excellent salad dressing, we marinated pork loin chops all day in this dressing before putting them on the grill, and they were fabulous!

Bacon and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2002
We loved this recipe! I used mayo instead of Miracle Whip, because we don't like it, and I didn't think the taste was too strong of mayo.

Chicken Delight

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2002
I thought this was pretty good, but I will cut back on the worchestershire next time, as it was just a little too strong for me. Also, I will cut back on the cooking time, as it seemed a little dry to me. I think with a couple of adjustments, this will be a really good dish.

Baked Cream Corn

Absolutely super, very easy, and a nice change from the usual corn casseroles. I am going to experiment with adding diced green chilis next, and will be musing over a few other additions.

This was absolutely delicious! The pork was tender and flavorful, and the apple jelly topping was a perfect complement. I will be making this one often.
