The Best BLT Dip

Although I did not use this recipe for my BLT dip the one I did use had the exact same ingredients as this just different amounts of each. The dip is great. I love it, the whole family loves it. The issue with this recipe is the 4 cups of sour cream and mayo with only 1 lb of bacon. The recipe I use has 1 lb of bacon, 1 cup of sour cream and 1 cup of mayo. I don't like tomato so I leave that out. The easiest prep for this is to fry the bacon crispy and then put all the ingredients in a food processor. Again in the right proportions this is great.

Taco Seasoning II

This was a lot better than the package product you can buy. Because most of my family goes for the mild foods I scaled this recipe down to just 5 servings for 1 lb. of ground beef. I decided less was best until we had atleast tried it once and I didn't want a lot left over. I browned my ground beef and then drained it. Then I added the seasoning to the meat along with 1/2 cup of water (based on what you do with the packages you get at the store). This will be replacing the store bought packages from now on. The entire family liked it, even my husband who always says stuff is bland for him. Thanks for the recipe. A keeper all the way.

Stuffed Shells III

Would have been better with less salt. The recipe did not account for the saltiness of the cheese. Overall though it was good.

Deep Dish Layered Salad

I am always asked to make this wonderful salad. Because of different tastes I use many different vegetables then what is listed. What I use is bag lettuce, a red onion, mushrooms, broccoli, califlower, peas, egg, real bacon and cheddar cheese. I have to say what makes this salad is the dressing. That always stays the same no matter what veggies I use. This will be in my collection for many years.
