Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
WOW! Great tasting and just as easy as can be. I used the suggestion substituting 1T lemon juice and 1T apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. Using a stick blender in a one quart canning jar is super efficient. I also proclaim: "I'll never buy mayonnaise again!" Look forward to trying other seasonings for special mayo-spreads.

Warm Chicken and Mango Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
Great start to an excellent recipe. I omitted the red pepper to keep it focused on only a few flavors and I added fresh cilantro! That was the missing ingredient and it tops it off perfect. I added it with the green onion and I didn't heat the mango all the way through. I served on a bed of fresh spinach instead of lettuce. Then it 5 stars to me!

Shrimp with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Really good lemon/dill flavor (with only 1/2 the dill) I also added garlic of course. I might reduced the corn starch a bit next time, it was slightly jelly-like in the finished sauce. Would try to smooth it out. Nice and quick and easy.

Farfalle Festival

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Oh, this was excellent. I did not change a thing, I used the jar of alfredo sauce and penne pasta. My family loved it, great for garlic lovers. Worth any extra effort.

Banana Fritters

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
This is the first fritter recipe we've ever made and we liked it. I agree with the caution of making them too large or the inside will be under-cooked. It helped to have two people frying/turning because they browned quickly. After the oil temp was right, we had to turn it down because they burned quickly. Our bananas were old and yet we thought they needed to be more sweet, so we dipped them in syrup! Wonder if another banana would've helped?

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
Wonderful! Easy to make and delightful to eat. If you want straight edges on your shortbread, I would suggest useing a cleanes ruler to cut to squares. Great recipe!
