I followed the recipe (minus onion) to a T. It was just ok.

This is one of my favorite dishes. My husband makes this often - we add diced red potatoes to it too. Yummy!!

Sunflower Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
I made this yesterday and it's very refreshing. Very good. I used sunflower seeds, but after reading the other reviews I wished I had something else. Pecans...almonds...something else instead. I'll definitely make this again though.

Omelet Biscuit Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
I'm rating these 5 stars because my daughters loved them. I didn't use biscuits because I didnt have any. I used reduced fat refridgerated croissants and just folded over the corners. I also used egg beaters, added leftover ham from Christmas dinner, and put the cheese on the top because I forgot to put it inside before I covered it up. My girls loved these. Will definitely make again. Thank you Leila.

Easy BBQ Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
We had this for dinner last night and for me it was just "ok". It may have been a little too sweet for chicken. I'll keep this recipe around though because it was incredibly easy to throw together. Next time I'll experiment with different flavors of bbq sauce. Last night we used Famous Dave's Sweet and Zesty.

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
I'm giving this a "5" based solely on the reaction from my 2 year old. She took a couple of bites and I heard "Yuuuuummmy!!" After that, I knew I would add this to our rotation. I used extra lean turkey meat and whole wheat pasta. We used FF shredded cheese but it didn't melt very well. Next time I'll use real cheese and layer it in the spaghetti before baking. I'm not a cheese person, but even I enjoyed the extra flavor. Thanks for an easy dinner!!

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
My husband made this for dinner tonight and it was SO good! He cooked the kielbasa and potatoes separately and added seasoning salt to the potatoes. He also used green peppers instead of red. Very good dish...it will be added to our food rotation.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
I made these last night, and I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I had to put mine in the fridge to even scoop out to put on the cookie sheet. Anyway, the cookies came out OK, but not GREAT. I brought them in today for a potluck so I will update when that's over. My husband didn't care for them, but my oldest daughter did.**UPDATE** I made 3 dozen cookies (there were 7 other desserts) and the cookies are GONE! After eating one myself, it seems to taste better today than last night. A good recipe - thanks!

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
I'm giving this 5 stars, but if it was an option, I'd only give 4.5. I did make some changes though. I used Splenda, skim milk, light margarine, and used 1 3/4c of oats. Some of the cookies were very moist, and a couple of them were dry. My husband enjoyed them and I loved them. Reminded me of the cookies I used to get at the school cafeteria when I was little. I will definitely make these again! :)

Thin Mint Crackers

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
One word: FABULOUS! I think instead of buying thin mints every year I am just going to make sure I always have the supplies on hand to make my own! I used Club crackers broken in half and melted Andes mints baking chips. Super easy and delicious! My 3 year old kept sneaking in the fridge to get more! Thank you for this easy recipe! **Also wanted to note that I put my cookies on wax paper and put them in the freezer. This hurried the process up and the cleanup was super fast too.**

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

My husband made this for dinner one night and it was delish!! I know he has tweeked it here and there which is why I gave it a 4. I don't think he ever made the recipe as written but used it as a starting point. It is fabulous and it is the one meat that I know my girls will eat for dinner. Thanks!

Elaine's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Awesome, easy recipe! Made these last night for an office party for Valentine's Day...followed the recipe with the exception of adding 1 heaping cup full of CHUNKY peanut butter. Would have preferred to use creamy, but still good cookies. I am giving these 5 stars for the simplicity of the recipe and the fact that they are fabulous right out of the oven. These are definitely "first day" cookies...this morning they are a little on the hard side. Hubby and kids LOVED them! Thanks for the keeper recipe!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
I made these last night, and even though they did not come out like they were supposed to, they were pretty good. I followed the recipe to the "T" with the exception of using Splenda instead of sugar. My brownies came out very flat, but still had the taste. I'll probably try these again, but not for a little bit. My pride is a little hurt because these didn't come out as they were supposed to!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I can't even convey how disappointed I was in these. AFter all the work that went into them, my cookies tasted pasty and crumbly. The best part? Definitely the middle, but the cookie itself was not good. I was hoping they would turn out decent, but the didn't. I won't even attempt to make these again. It was a clear waste of my cookie making time.
