Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
Absolutely perfect! I used sour milk instead of buttermilk and made cornbread muffins (16 regular size muffins - baked for 18 min.). No changes needed!

Puppy Chow

Perfect - as is! I used the store brand of Crispex (Crispy Hexagons) and it was great!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2005
Wow! This is sooooo good. My husband and I couldn't believe the taste - there's no difference in baked ziti, right? Wrong. This is the best!

Mom's Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2005
I found this recipe because I had some zucchini I had to use up. I served it to friends with rave reviews. It isn't too eggy and those who don't like pie crusts loved this crescent roll crust. It was especially nice because I baked it in a stoneware pie plate. The cheese and seasonings gave it an Italian taste. Yum!

White Chili I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
This is a great alternative to traditional chili! I added a tablespoon of flour (whisked into 1/4 cup of water) at the end of the cooking time, then brought it to a boil to thicken the broth slightly.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
My family thought this was great! We doubled the mushrooms and served it over thin spaghetti.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
I REALLY like this recipe - but I did things differently. I used Rapid Rise yeast (following the directions on the yeast pouch) and let the dough rest 10 min. after kneading. Then I rolled it out on my pizza stone and it was perfect. NOTE: I like to partially bake my crust before adding toppings - about 10 min.

Turkey with Herb Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
This dish had a good flavor, but I didn't care for the gooey biscuits. There was also a bit too much rosemary for me. I'd like to try cutting back on the rosemary and finishing this recipe in the oven (after adding the biscuits).

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2004
I love this biscuit mix - but I found that I often have to add a little more than the recipe calls for (when it asks for the name-brand). Still - what a money saver!

Easy Valentine Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2004
I think this is the easiest roll out cookie recipe I've ever used - and they taste pretty good too! Be sure to take the cookies off of the cookie sheet while they're still warm. Otherwise, if they are cooled and stick to the cookie sheet, they'll break up when you try to take them off.

Wonderful Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2004
A very light, fluffy waffle recipe, but they do not stay crispy after they're removed from the iron. However, they taste great and you can enjoy several without feeling like you've overeaten.

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2001
I really liked this frosting. I used half of the recipe, and added 1/4 c of cocoa and 1 tsp of instant coffee for a mocha flavor.
