Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
I made this for my dad's birthday and he said it tasted just liked the one his Grandma used to make for him when he was a kid. Excellent. I drained the pineapple extra time, so I wouldn't have the falling apart problem and also put the cake pan over it as stated in previous review and it worked beautifully. Pretty cake.

Campfire Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2004
These were very easy to make. I used frozen reg. grn beans and had precooked them in the microwave first for about 5 mins. and then used the skillet and they were awesome. Came out very tender and the flavor is wonderful with the garlic and lovethe texture with the almonds. Very Easy to warm at campsite.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2001
Easy to make and reminds me of what they used to call "Fantasy Fudge". I have never had the Jersey fudge, but it was better than my other recipe from last year. Thanks.

Jam Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2001
They were good, but I had a hard time making the whole in the middle just right for the preserves. My cookies seemed to want to spread too much. I used powdered sugar instead of nuts and the office staff loved them.

I agree this is a great base recipe. You can add whatever your heart desires. I actually did the blueberry the first time and added more than called for and they were wonderful. Thank you for the great recipe.

Apple Dumplings I

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2001
These were absolutely wonderful. I made them the night before and cooked them while we were eating dinner and they were perfect. Maybe because of the apples I used, I needed to cook for 45mins. so the apples wouldn't be crunchy. Highly recommend this recipe and top with vanilla ice cream. Heavenly and easy. Thank you for this recipe.

Best Ever Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2001
This was good however I felt it needed doctoring up before serving. I added veggies and used bread crumbs instead of corn flakes. I loved the texture of the waterchesnuts in it. I also cut the mayo to 1/2 cup as suggested and it faired just fine with the family. Cooked only 30 mins.

Banana Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2001
This was a great recipe that travels well. My husband drives a truck and he takes it with him on the road. I didn't add any icing and the cake was plenty sweet. I also put nuts in the cake and was not disappointed in doing so. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

BLT Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2001
A lot of steps to get this one done but worth the effort on the cold nights. I actually doubled the recipe and added more chicken base and spices. It does have the BLT taste to it.
